       ascending, descending order of posts?

       Is there a setting to change the 1st post of a topic to the top
       of the list? It's reverse of that now. I always seen there was a
       switch to do that standard on other forums I've been to.

       Admin -> Themes and Layout Settings -> Member Options
       Then reset member options and default options.
       Then change:
       "Show most recent posts at the top."
