       Default setting for notifications

       I've noticed that some members aren't responding to replies to
       their posts, and when I looked into it, the default setting for
       notifications is unchecked, so people have to opt in to receive
       notifications in their profile, or check the box on every post.
       Clearly, so don't know how to do that, so they are not seeing
       when others respond to their posts.
       I could edit the profile of individual members, but I don't like
       to do that, as it potentially overrides their personal choice,
       and besides, it would take forever to go through them one by
       one.
       Is there a Global setting to make the default setting for all
       members that they DO receive notification?
       If so, can you please lead this amateur through the process for
       setting it?

       Can be done under Admin -> Layout Settings -> Member Options
       Then "Change current options for all members using this theme"
