Can't add pictures to gallery?

Hi,
I'm sure I'll get told this could have been asked somewhere else
but I made the site today, and have had a lot of issues with
things loading up correctly. I' typically have to make a change,
save it then wait about 10 minutes before I can check it's
working, before trying that a couple more times before it
decides to actually do it.
Despite that one thing won't change, I'm not sure how many steps
I could really me missing to mess this up.
I made a gallery and just want to add pictures to it. Shouldn't
that be horribly simple? I'm not sure what I'm missing here but
when I press 'add images' the drop down section just says
'select album' and offers neither of the two I've made. If I
ignore that and try to continue it chastises me for missing out
that step...
I don't get what I could be doing wrong and I've given it hours
to adjust to the fact that i have made the galleries.
This will be a core part to my site so I'm a bit upset that this
isn't actually working.
Any ideas? I'm sure it's something simple but I've spent hours
of today staring at the same screen with no result.

Are you hosted on createaforum.com? My gallery system does not
have the text select album or add images?

You are using the user galleries system from the first
screenshot.
There are two types of categories in the gallery system. First
main level categories which are added on the main gallery page
when you visit the gallery index page. You can add more by
clicking on the "Add Category" link in the footer.
Then the second are member galleries/user galleries. These are
setup by clicking the MyGallery link which allows a member to
setup their own mini gallery if they have the "Personal gallery"
permission for their membergroup under admin permissions. These
galleries are found by default under the member galleries
category on the main gallery page.
The user galleries require a user to create categor under their
MyGallery area or you can auto create a default category. Under
Admin -> Gallery Settings -> "Create a Default User Gallery
Category" and have that setting checked

Sorry I don't really understand your reply. Are these galleries
unusable? Can you not have one the group adds to?
What is the 'user gallery' for if no one can edit it??
I'm pretty sure the process I took already worked the exact same
way as this 'my gallry' option which isn't letting me add images
to it. it just starts it off, and pretty much creates a link
that ends where I tookt he screen shots?
I'm not actually sure what you're even explaining. Are you
explaining how to find them? I'm trying to just add images to
the current ones/ They were made by me so I don't see how I
couldnt add to them.
Sorry its difficult to type Im having issues with my hands right
now.

There are two types of categories. One is main categories which
any user can add to if they have permission. The other type is
personal/user galleries where only the user can add to their own
gallery.
To create a main level category. Click on gallery tab then click
"Add Category" under "Gallery Admin Panel" to setup a category.
Once done you can add pictures to that category.

THis is what I don't understand, I have added categories. I can
edit them, but I can't add pitcutes to those categories.

Ok it seems to work now I've made a new one so I'll try deleting
the old ones/ Maybe it's because I didn't delete these and try
again.
