1-similar posts=when someone browsing one post at the bottom of
the post there should be list of similar posts related to
keywords or questions.
2-tag=when starting one new topic there will be one option for
tag or keyword where we can post keywords related to our topic.
3-ping back/track back=when starting one new topic there will be
one option for this.so that we can get backlink.
4-visibility-there will be one option in admin mode to set
boards whether it can be accessible by registered users or
anyone can access. according to current option when we are
adding a board and gives permission to all groups(except
guest)its not visible by unregistered users.but what we want is
it will be visible to guest but when they will click on any
topic in that board it will ask for registration.
5-link for group-some people just register in our site to start
promoting their site link on our site.so there should be one
option in admin mode to set who can post links.
I hope all webmaster wants these features in there site.you can
also find these features in big forum. those who agree with me
do post here so that the admin can add these features here.

You're better off using your time to give more purpose to your
forums so that people have a reason to join and stay. Sure
search engines might help but word of mouth is more valuable.
