Bringing some image from the gallery in the main forum page ?

Hey,
Is it possible to bring some images of the gallery, let's say a
row of 2, at the top at our main forum page ? Before the boards
?
The Gallery is not one of the available module from EZPortal.

Try loading ezportal again and see if a gallery block now
appears.

Is there a way to choose witch gallery we want and how many
image we want ? Like "8 most rated images" or so ?

Quick question/suggestion.
Would it be possible to have a way to generate thumbnails by
croping into the image and create a square version of it ?
That'd be very neat, it's used a lot now and it makes a gallery
page look really nice.
That'd be an awesome feature.
And really, being able to choose with type of Gallery we want to
put as a module (top rated, newest, etc..) would be awesome.
