Spam blocker IP address

Yesterday something changed. I got folks from my site
contacting me through email that they are being block from the
site. They say this shows up when trying to get to the site from
10am on 12/1 Jut tried it again now I an getting a screen that
says my ip address has been blocked by spam blocker.
Do I need to start sorting IP addresses and posting them here so
you dont block them all?
This addy I know this guy first hand and he is being denied as
a spammer. IP addy is removed IP now

If you are blocked there should be a link to appear that allows
you to unblock that ip address

I have had a series of ip addresses attempting to register for
an account.
I have googled 'look up (number)' and they all come back as spam
bots.
How can i deal with this?

banning a particular ip wont matter much ...I can change my ip
address by turning the wifi off for 5 minutes and wulla, new
number sequence all together..
every new member that registers must be approved by admin...me,
before they can even view the boards or post... (guests can only
view rules and about)
How safe are we?

its basically an invite only forum so every new member is
already known. Total strangers with weird nicks wont get a toe
in the door we should be sweet right?

Invite only/manual approval for registrations would prevent them
from joining
