I'm pretty sure there isn't an option to do the welcome PM yet.
Maybe he'll add it soon!

Seldom Fail is correct-- there is no option for a welcome pm
yet. I checked for 15 minutes or so and couldn't find it..

one more thing do you no on smf for free you can see who is
looking on the topic like the names of the members and how many
ect how do i do that on my forum

Admin-> Layout Settings-> Theme Settings-> Show who is viewing a
page-> Show members names
