Admin > Current Theme
Find Logo image URL: and place the logo in the area there.

There isnt a way to center a banner posted in the Logo Image URL
area.
The reason is you can not use html there - you can put only the
direct link to the image.

Okay, the only way is to actually center it while you make the
logo in photoshop or whatever. That is the only way... for
now(?)

Upload your logo image to someplace like
Imageshack/Photobucket/Tinypic
After uploading the image get the direct link to the image.
To put it on your forum:
Go to: Admin > Layout Settings > Theme Settings
You'll see the box to put the Logo Image url in on that page.
