Changing new message icons?

Like these things:

How do you change them/change the colour?
Please help!

Go to your Style Manager and click on the Customize Images tab.
From there, you can use different image sets from different
themes and use your own custom images.

How do I change the image for something that is not there?
Eg/ Changing this

which
I want as my "new post" image. Also, how do I customize.
So, basically, how do I change the image to something which is
not there? There must be a way, I've seen it on another create a
forum.
Please help. Thank you.

/>is shown on the index, next to each board, and when there is a
new post, it shows
HTML http://images.smfboards.com/caf/themes/light_green/images/new_some.png.<br
/>So, basically, they're the images for letting people know if
there are new posts.
What I want to do, if there is anyway, though I know another
forum has done it, to CHANGE those icons to be these:
HTML http://www.emcache.com/Themes/default/images/new_none.png
- so,
that's for no new posts, and
HTML http://www.emcache.com/Themes/default/images/new_some.png
for
new posts. Those are used on another forum, who say they "Have
to find the physical file in the sever where the
HTML http://images.smfboards.com/caf/themes/light_green/images/off.pngis<br
/>sorted, and change it to what you want." They have payed for
their own domain now, so I was wondering whether you could do
this under the create a forum hosting?
It would be nice to have the new post image changed to that, as
that icon is an ammo can, which is a container for the hobby
behind our forum, Geocaching.

Save the image file you want to use, upload it to your own
hosting site (eg: photobucket) and then go to Admin>CP>Style
Manager>Customize Images.
From there, go down to the New Post/No New post images (they
will be listed as on.png, off.png, on2.png, new_some.png, and
new_none.png). They will look like the forum default images:
HTML http://images.smfboards.com/caf/images/on.png
From here, take the URL to the images you want to use that you
have uploaded and put their URLs in the respective boxes: New
Posts=on.png, No new posts=off.png,
