((SURE! Though you'll be leading it because I have NO idea what
       you're talking about! ;D))
Cyndor cleared his throat, wincing at the memory of Faluzure.
"Yes, well, doing the wrong thing for the right reason doesn't
make it okay." He sighed and looked down at the expanse of
mountains and forest below them. "We were being rash." He said
       after a while.
"We shouldn't have just barreled into that castle." He looked
into Dracona's eyes. "I know that it was affecting us all, but
hearing the townsfolk mention the Law of Iron. . ." He trailed
off and shuddered, silently descending into his nightmares.
After a moment he climbed back into the world of the living and
       continued. "That worries me deeply."
A few moments of tense silence followed before Cyndor spoke
again. "There is an ancient prophecy that speaks of the Law of
Iron. Thousands of years ago, the Law clawed its way into
Mechanus and ripped through, making short work of the place. And
the prophecy says it will happen again. If we can't stop it. . .
" He shrugged. "All is lost."
"The Law of Iron is the a rule that cannot be broken, no matter
what. Stronger than something set in stone, The Law of Iron is
absolute, it consumes all. It constitutes the very universe
itself. Our plane of existence depends upon the Law of Iron." He
stared blankly off into the sky, looking at nothing in
       particular.
"Do you know what the Law of Iron is Dracona? I doubt it. It's a
particularly old piece of lore. It says . . ." Cyndor cleared
his throat again, but he new it wouldn't help. Finally after
what seemed like hours, he opened his mouth to speak again. His
voice was only a hoarse whisper.
"'You cannot escape death. Death is absolute. Death is coming.
       Everyone must die.'"

       ((That's the point! :P))
Dracona made a low, humming noise deep in her chest that made
the air around her vibrate. She contemplated this bit of
information in relation to their current situation, but was
unable to find any links between The Law of Iron and Kronos
       returning from the afterlife.
"I know of it. My grandfather is Bahamut, and he made sure that
all of his descendants are well-versed in lore, even though my
father was against it." She thought for a moment, not really
understanding Cyndor's distress. "Everything dies eventually.
The normal interpretation is that everyone dies when the time
comes. Death can be fought back and avoided, but never escaped."

"Bahamut does not see the world as I do." Cyndor scoffed. "It's
not as simple as that. They are words of prophecy. Words of
power." Cyndor thought back to his visions of ancient times,
where the Law of Iron had first opened a hold in the world to
       the underworld.
"You see, regular mortals--humans--they take the Law too
seriously. They don't understand it's core. It is, or was,
merely a saying from ages ago to tell people to treasure the
life you have, and not to fear death. But that was thousands,
no, tens of thousands of years ago. Back before humans. Now,
well, humans are a bit. . . fanatical.
"Humans turned the Law of Iron into a religion practically. They
made it where everything revolved around the Law. It was no
longer a wise old man telling his subjects to love life, but a
creed by which to murder. Everything must die. And they where
the bringers of death, or so they thought. They fought to
destroy all life, to deliver it to the Keeper of the underworld
on a silver platter and throw the world into unbalance."
Cyndor gave Dracona a long, hard look. "Can you begin to
comprehend the mass chaos this would cause? Human mages all
swore allegience to the Keeper of the Underworld, using dark
magics unbeknownst to even me to destroy whole civilizations.
Wars broke out between races, and then when all but humans where
wiped out, they began to fight among themselves, all claiming
that they knew what the Keeper wanted best."
He took a deep breath and continued. "The Law of Iron enslaves
humans with it's magic. Not magic of the mind," He tapped his
head, then moved his fist to rest on his chest. "But magic of
       the heart."

Dracona nodded. She knew too well what the power of human
worship could do to something seemingly innocent. She remembered
the tails of that time as well, though they were distorted from
being handed down from generation to generation.
"I'm sure you're familiar with the plight of my kind." She said,
giving Cyndor a look that was meant to tell him how offended she
was at his underestimation of her understanding of things.
"Humans believe that draconians are demon spawn, creatures of
evil. Only the bravest of men dare to enlist us into their
service, and then they keep them in isolation away from the rest
       of society.
"Naturally, after being held under unfounded suspicion for so
long, one would begin to wonder about the true nature of one's
soul. In this way, the vast majority of draconians have been
convinced that they are evil, and thus, have had their souls
tainted by demonic rituals and black magic.
"the power of human faith is nothing to be trifled with, that I
know full well. However, dragons have a very strait-forward view
on the world in which humans play a very little part in the
larger scheme of things. In their mind, dragons where there long
before humans, and they would be there long after they have
       killed themselves off.
"I don't have the luxury for such arrogance." Dracona gave
Cyndor a stern look. "I was merely observing that there are no
fanatics to upset the balance. Or, at least, not enough to
actually do any real damage. The old meaning of the Law of Iron
seems to take more precedence at this point in time than the
       radical interpretation. "

"Ah, but that's the real problem, isn't it?" Cyndor looked deep
into Dracona's eyes as she flew along. "The radicals are here
already. The words would have no power, no magic without them.
Otherwise they are just that, words, it is only the belief in
their power that gives it to them. You saw before, that man that
died? That was the words. They corrupt and they kill."
       He shook his head slowly. "I hope I'm wrong--I do--but I'm not
going to lie to myself either. We are free to evade the effort
of thinking, to reject reason, but we are not free to avoid the
penalty of the abyss we refuse to see." Cyndor sighed and leaned
       back in the saddle.
"There is no other course of action. I am convinced that Kronos
has unleashed the Law onto the land, and Skre'talen falls into
this somehow. They are at the center of this conflict. We must
stop them, else the world is lost once more."

"Well, if the radicals are here, they aren't being very...
radical." Dracona commented, somewhat preoccupied with the stiff
wind that she was flying into. She really didn't like the
mountains, they were too cold and windy for her tastes.
They arrived at there destination shortly thereafter; a massive
cave that had been melted out of the side of the mountain.
Dracona landed and motioned for Cyndor to let her go first. She
changed into a form suited for balanced combat and moved so that
she stood in the entrance of the dragon's lair.
"Skre'talen, your sister requests permission to enter your
home." The draconian called, her voice echoing back at her from
what must have been a extensive system of tunnels.

A beautiful young woman slowly appeared from the darkness,
coming to meet Cyndor and Dracona. Or at least she looked young.
Cyndor shifted uncomfortably as she watched them, studying the
both of them slowly. She laughed, like a thousand little ringing
bells and spoke. "Well if it isn't my dear little sister. Its
been a while. I see you're now traveling with the 'Time God'."
She said Cyndor's title mockingly, making quotations in the air
       as she spoke.
Cyndor bristled. "Watch your tongue Skre'talen, lest you lose
it. I am the Time God whether you like it or not."
"Hm." She said, looking unimpressed. "That's debatable. Well
don't just stand there, come in."

They stepped into the cave, and Dracona shifted into her
humanoid form now that she was sure that they were't going to be
suddenly attacked. Skre'talen lead them through the system of
tunnels, into what appeared to be a sitting room of sorts.
Their hostess gestured for them to sit, and draconian perched
herself delicately on a very expensive-looking couch. Skre'talen
seemed to find her precaution highly amusing.
"Have you still not figured out how to completely transform
yourself into a human." She asked teasingly, "I would have
thought one so favored by our revered grandfather would have
figured out how to master her own body."
Dracona glared at her smug sister and, with no small amount of
effort, transformed herself into an elf. Her features were very
similar to that of her sister's, but more slender and graceful.
"I have the ability, my dear sister." Dracona said lightly,
taking great pleasure in the baffled look on the other woman's
face. "It merely waists too much energy. It is also a major
inconvenience, as you can see." She indicated the now massively
       over-sized armor.
The strain of maintain that form was great, however, and Dracona
was forced to change back into her draconian form or else risk
not being able to fight if the need arose. In truth, she had
only figured out how to obtain that form the year before, and
hadn't had any reason to use it since.
"I don't see why you would walk around looking like that if you
       had a choice." Skre'talen mocked.
"I am not ashamed of my heritage." The draconian said icily. "I
would not willingly disguise what I am unless my life or the
lives of others would be befitted from it. Speaking of lives,
you wouldn't happen to know why Kronos is back from the dead,
       would you?"

Skre'talen visibly recoiled at the mention of Kronos' name. "You
stupid girl!" She screamed, lunging at Dracona. "You dare say
his name here, to draw him to us? He hears things!"
Cyndor stepped between them, stopping Skre'talen's lunge and
holding Dracona from a fighting stance. "Ladies please. We
aren't here to fight. Skre'talen, finding who spoke the name
just by them saying it once is like trying to track a deer from
one single footprint. It's difficult at best."
She scowled. "Yes, Cyndor you're so knowledgeable."

Dracona looked at Skre'talen with a very unimpressed look on her
face. She was obviously scared witless by Kronos, that piqued
       the draconian's interest.
"You're afraid of him. Why?" She asked, softening her voice so
as to not anger the dragon any further. "What can a fallen, dead
god do to someone as powerful as you?"
"You just don't understand." Skre'talen said, a worried look
flickered across her face before she could conceal it. "He did
not lose anything when he fell, he gained everything! The
underworld is a place where the week are preyed upon. Those that
are already strong, grow even stronger.
"Therefore, when a god dies, they gain in power exponentially. In
some extreme cases, a fallen god becomes powerful enough to
travel between the underworld and this one, as well as others.
They can harness the dark energy of the lower plains, and
control demons to do their bidding. This particular fallen god
had something to prove, and that bodes ill for us all."
