Landiex blocks Daxam’s attack and turns to face him as he lands.
“Is that all you've got?” he asks.

Instead of landing on his feet, Daxam lands on his hands and
thrusts his whole body towards Landiex’s body, feet first.

Landiex expecting something like this sidesteps the feet first
lunge, and brings his baton crashing down on Daxam’s back as he
sails by.

Daxam, knowing that Landiex has a higher reflex and battle
instincts than the average person, expected this as well. As
Landiex was swinging down, Daxam was swinging out to the side,
catching Landiex in the kneecap as he gets hit in the back. The
blow to his back didn’t hurt badly since Daxam was in midair, it
just increased his falling rate and Daxam caught himself on the
ground before faceplanting.

“Not bad” says Landiex “Now its my turn.” With that he rushes
Daxam while he is on the ground. He swings at Daxam’s head
hoping to end the fight in one blow.

Daxam was not expecting another attack so quickly because of the
blow to the kneecap. He then pushes his body backwards as he
sees the baton coming towards his head. He retracts his arms as
he pushes so that his arms are out of the way of the attack.
Then as the baton finishes its swing and Daxam is finishing
pushing himself to his feet, before he is upright, Daxam points
his baton forwards and pushes off one last time in this manner,
this time with his feet instead of his hands. The baton aimed at
Landiex’s outstretched arm is pushed through the air followed by
Daxam himself.

As the blade is coming towards him, Landiex reaches out with his
free hand and grabs Daxam’s arm while he throws his body to the
side, dodging the blade. “Now i've got you” says Landiex as he
wrenches the Baton from the other boy’s grasp.

“Nice one!” Daxam says, admiring Landiex’s move. The position
that Landiex left Daxam wasn’t very smart. Even though he is
holding Daxam’s arms, that doesn’t mean he is immobilized. Daxam
shouts, “Now, take this!” as he swings his right leg up to smash
into Landiex’s left kneecap once again. This time fracturing it,
for it was already weakened from last time. In Landiex’s moment
of pain and shock, Daxam sees his opportunity and snatches, not
only his baton back, but both of them. Then takes five steps
back and watches Landiex carefully as he stands strong (and
unwounded) as he dual wields the batons. “Give up yet?” he asks
with more concern for his friend’s health than pride for
breaking his knee. “We need to get you some help before you get
hurt worse.”

“I'm tougher than even you realize and I'm not giving up that
easily.” replies Landiex. “And I’m just getting warmed up. Now
give me your best shot, if you haven’t already.”

“Actually, I think it is my turn to say ‘you go first’ this
time.” If you are not giving up, at least be careful with your
leg, you can’t go rough on it or it will break completely.”
