Played soni tonight and just edged him out 2-1.
First off, he is a bad player. He made alot of fundamental
mistakes like allowing my venus to summon, get balls, and
subsequently summoning Gachi...to which he finally used his set
Warning. On another token he brought out recruiter with Spy
when I had rai oh on field. He beat me G1 despite these plays
cuz he just opened what he needed.
In this particular duel, he was using GK's (even though he
usually uses Heroes)...and it proved rough since I was using
Agents. His deck starts out as pure GKs then sides into Skill
DRain w/ tech Malefics if his opponent's deck calls for it. He
had some weird techs like Rite of Passage (which he never got
out). Nothing much to say here though as the deck was
ridiculously standard.
Based on these two deck choices though, he's the anti-meta type
of player. So expect to play something of that type when you go
up against him. Main MSTs!

@Kenshi: I watched your duels against King Rob. He was a really
bad player...but using a sacky deck (Samurai). He definitely
got pretty lucky with his openings (gateway two games ftw...and
united every game lol). But I saw two plays that you could have
done better:
1) I believe this was G2...in the end you guys ended up top
decking, and he summoned a kageki all by himself in attack
position along with a FD backrow as his only cards. You had
Maxx C and bottomless. You should have taken advantage of his
attack position Kageki and ran it over with Maxx C. Literally
any monster he topped would have been bad for you and taking
that advantage would have given you an edge. Based on your
following draws, I don't know if that would have actually won
you game though.
2) Now G3 is another story. You opened TKRO, SJ, and some other
FD turn 1. He opened with Dojo, United, and Gateway. You
jumped the gun and SJ'd his Gateway. You didn't need to do this
for a couple reasons: You already had TKRO out. He wasn't going
to gain any advantage with Gateway with TK blocking his
searches. SEcondly, if you had SJ'd his normal summon instead
(Kageki), you would have completely stopped him for that turn,
and he would have had 3 dead continuous spells on the field.
Stopping the normal summon for Sams is the BEST way to slow them
down because they cannot do anything if that initial summon
doesn't go through...esp if it was completely stopped by a
solemn. I think had you done that, you would have had a much
better chance at winning. The rest of the game still woudl have
taken some work, but that would have put you ahead of the curve.

First off I know I'm not the most indicated person to provide
any C&C, since I'm the king of mistakes and missplays, so I'm
expecting to receive a lot of these. But I would like to make
some comments of my own
@Shadow: in your first game against soni, when he dropped Gorz
and you had Trago and 2x Commander on the field, you should have
gone into BRD; this way you would have got rid of Gorz and your
opponent would have been left with 3 cards in hand during his
turn, to your 5 during your turn; plus, you would have had
enough LP to activate E-Tele, and use Jumper on whatever monster
he could have summoned, or simply Mole on a fusion to gain even
more advantage.
In game 2, when you attacked with Commander and Rat to his
E-Hero Ocean, I would first have suicided the Rat into Ocean,
grab another Rat, suicide again, and grab Serene; this way you
would have had 3 earths in grave by the time Commander was
destroyed, only 2 away from summoning Grand Soil. But other than
that, you played very well. You lost game 2 only because of his
random Honest, otherwise you would have won that one.
Note: soni discarded Solemn Judgement to use Super Poly. He is
either a genious or plain bad.
@Kenshi: lol at both you and KingRob setting Maxx C, that was
funny. On game 3, me, like Nichi, would have waited to use SJ on
the monster. When he activated DEST to summon 2 Sams, I would
have let him go Shi En and then activate MST on his f/d, hoping
for him to negate it and then activate Mirror in the battle
phase; sure, since his f/d was SJ that would have made no
difference at all, but if it hadn't been SJ and Shi En had
negated your MST, then you would have survived that turn, been
able to summon Fortress and start wearing him down (depending on
his potential f/d). Anything was better than just foregoing your
Mirror like that. But yeah, that guy opened quite well both
times.
@Nichi: not really much to say about your duels against
Lightning, except that his deck (Fabled World) was awkward, and
he made some mistakes, whereas you didn't. You really deserved
to win that match because you played better, but he kept drawing
better than you. I have only 1 question regarding game 1: when
you summoned Venus, why didn't you special summon the 3rd ball?
This way, if your opponent managed to get rid of all your
monsters, you would have exactly 4 fairies in grave for Kristya.
Now I gtfo.

I was having a bad day yesterday and am aware of my mistakes.
Thanks for the criticism as it will definitely help me when
playing Sams in the future. Let's make a comeback!

I lost 0-2 to Zacky. Not great hands + a few mistakes made me
lose. Even though I lost 0-2, we had to re-do the match from
game2 because during that game Zacky lost connection, so you
have 3 replays (g1 which I lost, g2 which he got disconnected
and g2 which I lost).
I would thank you if you explicitly pointed my mistakes, just to
make sure I noticed them all.

time ;)

In general I do not summon the 3rd ball for multiple reasons.
the biggest one being that I expect Venus to stay on field for
at least a turn in the scenario. That means the next turn, i
can SS the last ball, then drop a tuner and get BRD or something
else of that nature. If I just summon it out there, the ball
just gets run over. I want more functionality than that. If I
have Kristya in my hand that's really the only other play, then
yes, I'll make filling the grave a Priority. I definitlely
don't just summon all the balls if I don't even have a Kristya
in hand. However, my opponent isn't going to get rid of both
Gachi AND venus in one turn without considerable effort...so
even if i summoned ball, that doesn't necessarily mean Kristya
would even be live. You get more graveyard control when you use
your resources to fill the grave at a rate that is good for YOU
by tuning, dumping with Herald of Oranges, or controlled milling
with Card Trooper.

I will comment my mistakes on game 2 against Zacky (the duel in
which he didn't got disconnected).
I used the Heavy recklessly. I should have just set the Prison,
activated cardcar's eff and let it go, then I could have
possibly summoned Gorz and have Heavy ready. But since he had 2
f/d, I did what I did because I didn't want a possible Warning
blocking my Gorz summon. His following Ophion blocking my Gorz
was pretty much my downfall since Gorz could have put in a ton
of work, judging by the game state at that time. And from here
on, the duel became a snowball of mistakes, like my own Warning
blocking my Gorz, not activating TT on Mandrago's summon and not
negating TGU's summon/eff.
Another mistake I made was not siding Maxx C out; this was a bit
tricky because his deck is completely Xyz based, but unless he
summons TGU, the most you will get off Maxx C against that deck
is 1 card, hence not worth the room. In addition, I had no card
in my side which hurt him; the most likely choices were Kycoo
(should have sided it in for Maxx C - mistake) and Malevolent
Catastrophe (he runs quite a heavy backrow, but he also runs 2x
SLR, so not sure about this).
I'm not proud of that duel at all, and not because I lost 0-2,
but because of the many and noobish mistakes I made.
And also I was a bit rager at that time, because when he lost
connection during our first game 2, I was in a good position and
could even have dealt with his yet again Gorz. :/
