Photos to Dark

When I do an event, I run my pictures through photo shop. The
pictures look OK, but when I up load the pictures to my capture,
the pictures appear dark. Is there something I should be doing
to correct this?

There are a lot of things possibly going wrong, but I need some
more info.
What setting are you shooting in? Manuel? Completely automatic?
Shutter priority?
What is your exposure compensation set to? That looks like a
scale of -3 to +3 usually. It should display on your main screen
or in your view finder. To adjust it you want to find a dial or
button with a =/- usually.
Take a photo of a completely white piece of paper in full sun.
Make sure that is white. I can't image your sensor is unable to
record white pixels, but possible I guess.

It also talks about evaluative metering, which may also be your
problem.

Can you post a dark photo? I haven't seen one.

Thanks Will increase the light and post the next dark picture.
I do shoot both manual and auto depending on fast I am taking
pictures.

This has been my problem as well....sometimes the photos will
look okay at the location, but on MyCapture they look too dark.
Really, I know that my monitor probably needs calibrating, but
for me properly exposing remains a challenge. Also, even when
photos look okay upon submission, sometimes they come out too
dark when actually in print. Very frustrating.

Screen calibration can be a problem but before undertaking
anything like that I would double-check your exposure first. Are
any of you checking your histograms?
This may help judging whether your photos are too dark in the
camera.

Remember your screens lie but a histogram doesn't.
