       Exercise 2
   DIR By: katalina.lopez

I picked this descriptive example text, because I thought it was
really simple, but it had a lot of details and characteristics.
It was a great example to me, because it proved that a
descriptive text doesn't have to be very long to describe your
favorite topic. Something I found very important, was that you
have to stick to that same topic and details throughout the
       entire paragraph.
  HTML http://descriptive-text.blogspot.com/2009/06/my-dog-brownie.html<br
       />
I liked this example of an informative text, because it was full
of facts and informative details. It takes advantage of a topic,
in which there are a lot of new and interesting things to
informing the reader about. Something I found important about
this example was that if you put a bunch of facts together, you
might bore and confuse the reader.
  HTML http://library.thinkquest.org/29033/begin/earthsunmoon.htm
In this example, I felt convinced with what the author was
talking about. I think that if it had been a debate, that
example would have won, since it mentioned a certain situation,
that could happen and that way, make you think of how you would
react. By making you think, you then realize that what he is
talking about is true, and next thing you know, you have been
convinced and believe that what he was talking about is true.

       TEXTS:
       1) Descriptive Text
The descriptive text is used to give information, its purpose is
to describe a specific thing, animal or human. In conclusion its
main job its to describe. ;)
       2) Informative Text
The informative text is a text that wants to tell or advice you
about something. It introduces a subject, then develops, it
gives you facts about it and it also gives you clear
information. This text avoids repetition. The main job of this
text is to inform things. :D
       3) Persuasive Text
The persuasive text is a text that really wants you to do
something. It repeats words, it has texts in capital letters, it
has exclamation marks and its confusing because it has questions
were no answer is needed. It also has emotional one side
arguments and humor. In conclusion this is a text to make or
convinces people to do something. ;D

       Dear Katalina
Great posting. Lots of details and descriptors.
The descriptive text about the pet is just amazing. I remember
you said you had 2 dogs. Do you happen to do the same with your
dogs as the writer of this text?
I strongly recommend you check the instructions again because
there was a forum already open for this task. You did not have
       to start a new forum.
       Fantastic job!!!

       Dear Manuela
       Thanks for your post.
Both text are intersting inthe sense that they give tips on how
to plan lesson whose topics are those kinds of texts. However,
I'm not very sure those texts are inforamtive as such because
they are lesson plans. Why do you consider them informative?
I do not see information about the persuasive texts. Remember to
revise your spelling before posting. Also, I strongly recommend
you check the instructions again because there was a forum
       already open for this task.
       Very good job!!

       Dear Valentina
The information you have posted is accurate and good. However,
there was a different forum for activity one to explain each
one of the text types, which was also present in the Voki in
activity one, too. Please revise the instructions.

       Here are links to a:
       descriptive text:
  HTML http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_Shepherd.<br
/>I have picked this text regarding the German Shepard because
       it
describes well one of my favorite dogs. Wikipedia is a good
source of information to get details regarding animals and
       things.
       informative text:
  HTML http://static.abcteach.com/content_preview/w/white_house_3_pw.png.<br
/>This was a short informative text about the white house as it
gave information regarding its location and was very simple to
       understand.
