The three "vokis" that I listened to were all talking about or
rather explaining different types of text. The first voki was
talking about Descriptive Text. This type of writing is used to
give you information and to describe a specific thing. It will
most likely be describing an animal, or a person that the author
knows well. In the second voki, I indentified that it was trying
to define Informative Text. Informative texts are types of
writing that want to advice or tell you about something. They
avoid repetition, contains facts and give information in a clear
way, introducing the subject and then developing it. Finally,
the third voki was explaining Persuasive Text. This type of text
really wants you to do something. It includes repeated words,
capital letters and exclamation marks. These texts also include
questions where no answer is needed, emotional one sided
arguments and humor.

Dear all
I am very pleased with your participation in this forum. Thank
you very much.
I do hope you all have more clarity on the main differences
between the three text types, especially because we will be
working with each one of them several times in class.
Some food for thought...
- Always revise your post before sending it so that grammar,
spelling and vocabualry mistakes are corrected bforehand.
Make sure you write complete sentences instead of writing a
bulleted list/note for which is not very clear for readers.
Additional information besides the assigned one is always
welcome and shows interest and more involvement from your part.
See you all next week. Great Job!!!
Katya
