/> The wearing of clothes is mostly a human characteristic that
is practice in many cultures. The amount and style of these
coverings vary based on several factors such as religion,
temperature, gender, function, social aspects, and similar
factors. Appropriate clothing for men and women is usually based
on gender differentiation. There are different styles of mens
clothing, which is also called menswear.Clothing may be used as
something more than a body covering. In some ares, it is used to
show the status or rank of a person. This was very common during
ancient times. There are also religious clothes that are usually
only worn for ceremonies or as a marker of status too. The
covering can be used for protection against weather, insects,
chemicals, weapons, and other potential environmental hazards. In
historical western societies, trousers and any other type of
pant was made exclusively for the male population. Now, both
genders wear this item of clothing. Though the make and design
or the trousers may vary by gender, as clothes for women are
designed to be form fitting and flattering. In fact, the fit and
design is now what separates men and women coverings.Typically,
clothes made for males are more practical and are made to be
functional in all situations. While clothes made for females
comes in more shapes, colors, designs and styles and made not be
practical under all conditions. Examples of coverings that were
traditional for males: collared shirts, hats, trousers, suits
and bowties. Nowadays, these items are made for and worn by
women as well because it has become more socially acceptable for
a woman to wear clothes for men than vice versa.Sumptuary laws
are practiced in some cultures. The laws are made to enforce a
sort of dress code. In fact, they lay out what females and males
are required to wear. An example is the Islam culture that
requires women to wear what they consider modest attire,
typically hijabs. Though modest in the Muslim culture means
women show very little skin and far less of their bodies than
what men show. Most Muslim women wear headscarves and
burqas.Dresses and skirts are typically reserved for females,
but they may also be worn by men. Skirts worn by men are usually
limited to togas or kilts and reserved for special ceremonial
occasions. Though in the past, many men wore skirts are part of
their daily wardrobe.Overall, menswear does not include many of
the frills that is seen in women's wear. Women's clothes are
made to flatter, accentuate and grab attention. Mens clothes
serve opposite purposes. They are used for function, comfort and
more practical purposes. There are menswear stores that sell
mens attire online. Even in fashion, some designers focus all
their work on males.Mens clothing is used as a covering for the
male body. In the past, these coverings were exclusively for
men, but in this day and age, women may also wear them. It is
acceptable in many societies, especially western, for women to
wear clothes designed for men, but the opposite is not always
true. Generally, men wearing women clothes is frowned upon,
unless it is done as an act, or for ceremonial or religious
reasons. fmzds120223
