Micro-plastic pollution control need to pay attention

Micro-plastic is divided into primary micro-plastic and
secondary micro-plastic two categories. Primary micro-plastic
refers to the river, sewage treatment plants and other
discharged into the marine environment of plastic particles
industrial products, such as cosmetics containing micro-plastic
particles or as industrial raw materials, plastic particles and
resin particles. Each with a personal care products, there will
be 5000 ~ 95000 microbeads into the environment; secondary
micro-plastic is a large plastic waste through physical,
chemical and biological processes caused by split and volume
reduction of plastic particles.

According to statistics, in 2014 the number of micro-plastic in
the ocean about 15 trillion to 51 trillion particles, the weight
was about 93,000 tons to 23.6 million tons, which only accounted
for 2010 after entering the ocean of global plastic waste 1 %.
In June 2014, the first United Nations Environment Conference
put forward the issue of marine waste and micro-plastics, and
eventually reached the "Marine Plastics Waste and Micro-Plastic
Resolution", proposed to carry out the study of marine plastic
waste and micro-plastics, and submitted To discuss the second
session of the United Nations Environment Conference. Today,
this issue has received wide attention from all over the world.
In the marine environment, the distribution of micro-plastic has
two characteristics. The first is a huge number. It is estimated
that there are about 35,000 tons of micro-plastic in the ocean,
accounting for more than 55% of the total amount of plastic
waste and 72% by weight. Moreover, the growth rate is fast. Over
the past 40 years, the concentration of microfluids in the
midwestern oceanic midday has increased by two orders of
magnitude, while the surface of the plastic waste has no
significant change.

Marine environment, the harm of micro-plastic from two aspects:
First, micro-plastic can release toxic and hazardous substances,
and second, micro-plastic than the average easier to adsorb
toxic and hazardous substances.
So, in the daily life, we should pay more attention on the
plastic recycling such as Styrofoam

. It can save the resources and
protect the environment.
