The Management of Waste Foam Polystyrene

Reduce the foam polystyrene packaging waste, there are four main
methods:
A) Reduced use - it refers to the reduction in the consumption
of natural resources. To this end, avoid the use of disposable
products, and improve the packaging design, reduce the use of
foam polystyrene materials to reduce environmental costs and
environmental load.
B) Waste utilization - Foam polystyrene packagings can be used
multiple times, such as containing semi-finished products for
internal transport. Another simple way to reuse a foamed
polystyrene package is to crush the wrapper as a clay of the
regulation, adjust the soil to the water and sparse
characteristics.
C) Recycling - reprocessing the used foamed polystyrene packings
to produce new materials as alternatives to other materials,
such as replacing solid wood, making garden equipment, or
replacing slate for paving roofs; or for the production of new
plastic products such as hangers and CDs / cassettes.
D) Recycling - Foam polystyrene has a higher calorific value
than coal, and can be safely combusted in a thermal recovery
system or an incinerator with appropriate pollution control
equipment, without releasing toxic or environmentally hazardous
substances. So, Styrofoam recycling

is greatly helpful.
Whether a product is environmentally friendly is to be
considered from each stage of the product process, by the
selection of raw materials and production processes, as well as
the use of the product and the final disposal. For example, most
people think that paper cups are more environmentally friendly
than the sparkling glue cups. In fact, the steam and electricity
required to make the vials are 12 times and 36 times smaller
than the paper cups.
However, styrofoam and other plastic waste, like, is not easy to
degrade, and will occupy the landfill space for many years. As
with any other disposable or packaged material, the abuse of
disposable styrofoam food containers increases the amount of
waste disposal and puts pressure on landfills.
