       White pollution caused by disposable foamed plastic cutlery

       Disposable foamed plastic cutlery is made of polystyrene add
       butane blowing agent. Polystyrene is non-toxic. But the styrene
       monomer is toxic, if the polymerization of small molecules are
       not completely together, the material may be left in the monomer
       of styrene. For the food grade disposable foam plastic lunch
       box, our standard requirements of styrene monomer residue is
       less than 0.15%. Only illegal production residues are not up to
       standard, or illegal use of non-food grade standards do not meet
       the waste plastics as raw materials, illegal addition of calcium
       carbonate, fossil powder and other fillers, it may do harm to
       the human body.
       Because the disposable foam plastic lunch box has low cost and
       easy processing, it has been widely used in the market. 2005
       data show the that annual sales of disposable tableware were 28
       million (including lunch boxes, noodles bowl, cups and so on),
       lunch boxes with the amount of 12 billion, of which one-time
       foam box 8.6 billion, the market share of 70% the above. In view
       of this situation, experts and scholars on the foam tableware
       for a long time research work. In 2013, after listening to the
       wide range of views of the parties, the National Development and
       Reform Commission issued Decree No. 21, in the elimination of
       catalogs to delete a one-time foam plastic tableware, pointed
       out that the foam tableware in line with national standards, and
       pointed out that with China's health norms.the improvement of
       the system and people's awareness of environmental protection,
       the recycle of foam tableware has matured, so we should pay more

       However, after the lifting of the ban, foam tableware is facing
       a huge controversy. Although people worry about the "white
       pollution" did not come back, the management of foam tableware
       is very worrying about the lack of relevant national standards,
       illegal processing of floods, recycling dystocia and relative to
       other disposable tableware.
