Here’s the link were you can go and download Coal Black and the
Sebben Dwarfs. It’s a 1943 parody of Disney’s Snow White. It has
been banned from syndication from television since the late
1960s, and is one of the Censored 11 (cartoons censored due to
racial and stereotypical material considered too great to edit
for public broadcasting), though some have listed it as one of
the greatest cartoons ever made. It wasn’t meant to be racist
though, and actually was made to encourage African American
soldiers in World War II.
Starring the voices of Ruby and Vivian Dandridge as The Evil
Queen and So White (mother and sister of Academy Award-nominated
actress, Dorothy Dandridge of 1954’s Carmen Jones.)
