       So it begins...

Okay girls. My Vegas is being a reeeeal bitch to me. Normally
I'd let it be but I'm trying to make my Christmas gift for
everyone and it just keeps freezing. I can only add in 1-3 clips
in at a time before it freezes now (it's much better the first
time I open it; it keeps getting worse the more I close/reopen
it). At this rate I'm not sure it'll be done in time for
       Christmas D,=
So, any tips on how to prevent it from freezing?

Can't think of any. Mine freezes up sometimes too, but
periodically, but mostly when I minimize it or open another
window. So, when I'm working with Vegas, I can only work on
Vegas (rendering included) or else it's gonna freeze up and I'd
have to shut it down. I don't know what the problem with yours
       though.
Maybe take a look at your hard drive space?? IDK, but whenever
my computer's hardrive space gets a little low, Vegas tends not
to work as fast or as smoothly, and one time it wouldn't even
render at all until I refreshed the whole computer.

I figured it out ^^ I have all my KH cutscenes in the media bin
(that's a lot of cutscenes O.O) and that was why it was taking
so long to load; even when it said it was done, I just left it
alone for a while (holiday baking, lulz). When I came back it
was working great. Now I'm more than halfway done when yesterday
I hadn't even hit the halfway mark ^^
But I'll keep the hard disk space in mind! I've been downloading
a lot of movies lately, lulz. Thanks, hun <3

You're welcomed. I recommend trying an external hard drive,
though. I bought mine from Walmart for only 50 dollars and it
holds up to 300GB worth of space (twice more than my whole
computer all togther). But I use it mostly just to put all my
movies on for vidding. And most movies are only around 700MB
(not even 1GB), so you'd be able to fit at least 300 movies on
it as well. And it makes it easier to carry the films around and
to use on other computers, and you'd never lose them if your
system crashes, so that's a major plus. :)

I find having a lot of programs open along with Vegas really
screws up.. Try putting in one clip at a time, walk away from
your computer, and come back once it's done. That happened once
to me and Vegas kept freezing, but if you leave it before the
whole screen/ "box" goes white and "Not Responding", it'll go
       right back. Hope that helps~
