       ---------------------------------------------------------
I took a break form posting these, because of the lack of
activity on the forums. I will start again
       Ch.4
       The virtual world!
Thunk! I hit the floor extremely hard. Looking around, I notice
that I was surrounded by busy streets, giant buildings, bright
lights, and tons of people rushing from place to place. I asked
someone, who spoke English, where I was. He said, “What!? How
would you not know where you are? You’re in Hong Kong!” He
       answered in a surprised voice.
Out of the corner of my eye I saw something drop to the ground
exactly were I had landed. It was a walkie-talkie. There was a
note attached to it. It read, “Dear Shadow, this is a handheld
radio transmitter. You and Dr. Solvern have each received one.
There is one hour of battery power in each of them, so use it
       wisely.”
I pushed the button and said, “Hey! Dr. Solvern? Are you
there?” “Yes sir, I hear you loud and clear.” “Where are you?” I
asked him. “I think I am in the outskirts of Hong Kong.” He
answered “Can you meet me at the tallest building in the center
of the city in about an hour?” “I’ll try to, sir.”

       13

I began walking through the city. I felt as if something was
following my every movement. I started looking back every few
minutes just to make sure no one was there. I swear that I heard
something swish past me. I turned around 180 degrees and grabbed
my binoculars. Up, on the top of a roof, I saw something move
       out of my view.

I took out a rubber band and found a stick that was shaped like
a Y. I put the rubber band on the stick, grabbed a rock, and
shot it up there. I heard something scream in pain. I started to
run away when five men dropped down off of the surrounding
       roofs.
I grabbed a bigger stick and started swinging it at them. One
of them grabbed for the stick and I whacked his hand away. “Ow!
Why you little!” He screamed. I slipped away for a second, but
then they cut me off. I turned around to find a weapon, sticks,
       anything that could hurt them.
When I turned around Dr. Solvern was standing right behind the
men. He pulled out a knife and stabbed each and every one of
them. They all disintegrated. “Thanks Dr. Solvern. You came just
in time.” I commented him. “Oh, it was nothing.” He was
       blushing.

       14

“Let’s go grab a bite to eat.” I said. “That is a good idea,
but would we be able to eat it? We are in the simulation room.”
He questioned. “Ah, every wise detective brings some emergency
food.” I said as I took out two sandwiches.
We ate the sandwiches quickly because we were afraid more
guys might come and attack us. When we finished eating, we tried
to decide where to go. All of a sudden we heard a scream. We
came rushing toward the panicked woman.
“Help! This big gang that wore all black came up to me and
stole my purse and dog!” She screamed. “Can you tell us where
they’ve gone?” Dr. Solvern asked. She pointed towards the large,
dark, and scary forest. We sat there for a full minute without
       saying anything.
“We need a plan if we want to stop this big gang.” Dr. Solvern
said. “Yes, we do need a plan.” I agreed. “What shall it be
sir?” Solvern said. “Well, we could split up again because our
handheld radios still have some power.” I said. “Ok sir! If I
find anything I will call you before exploring It.” he said.

       15
We discussed our plan a little more and then we separated as we
entered the dark and eerie forest. “Hello! Is anyone there?” I
yelled. “You’re not from around here are you?”A scratchy voice
said. “What! Who said that?” I screamed. “I am known as Kiygor
and I am up in this tree.”
I looked up and saw a man with a weird image.
He looked sort of like a lemur. He had giant glasses and a
greenish colored jacket on. “What are you looking for?” He said
in a curious way. “Do you know where I might be able to find the
hideout for the gang that all wears black?” I asked.
“Yes, I do know where to find that. It is between the bush
shaped like a dingo and a tree that looks like Sherlock Holmes.
It’s about one mile from here.” “Thanks Mr.… Um what was your
name?” “Oh, it is Kiygor” He said. “Thanks a lot.”
“I’ve got to go and tell Dr. Solvern.” I said. I pushed the
button on the radio, “Dr. Solvern, Can you hear me?” “Yes, loud
and clear.” “I know where the hideout is. Are you near a bush
shaped like a dingo and a tree that looks like Sherlock Holmes?”
“Indeed I am sir, shall I go in?” “Yes, I’ll be there soon.”

       16
I started running quickly. “Wait!” Kiygor yelled. I turned
around to see where he had been and didn’t see him. I turned
back around and saw Kiygor was hanging from a branch right in
front of me. “You shouldn’t have sent your friend in there. They
have large creatures guarding the way.”
“What!? You could have told me that beforehand. What kind of
creatures are you talking about?” I questioned him. “There are
bears and cougars.” “Get out of my way Kiygor! I’ve got to save
       him!”
I started in a sprint. I was so worried that I didn’t notice
the tree in front of me. I fell into a daze and ran straight
into the tree. “Ha ha ha, good job Kiygor, I’ll take it from
here.” I couldn’t see a thing because of the impact, but I
could hear someone. I felt someone grab me by my coat and hat
and started to drag me. Then I blanked out.
