* * *
Tony’s signing up for the classes in what he hopes will be his
third -- and last -- year of college when he sees him.
Body perfectly chiseled. Hair perfectly coiffed. Everything
else: perfectly hot.
[b]“Who is that?” Tony demands, jabbing Bruce in the arm.
“Ow!” Bruce protests, giving Tony a look. “It’s Steve Rogers.
Just graduated.”
“Where can I get one?”
“Here, next year.” At Tony’s predatory smile, Bruce rolls his
eyes. “Don’t even think about it, Tony. He’s
[b]teaching next year.”
[i]“I refuse to see how this is a problem. What
does he teach?”
[i]“Art—Tony, don’t you dare—"
[i]Tony isn’t listening. He’s already pushing his glasses up his
nose and checking the box. Apparently, he is taking art class
next year.

Steve straightens his tie, feeling a little hot. Maybe
that's just because he's nervous. He's never taught anyone
anything, really, it's usually the other way around. As for his
art, well, Steve's usually sort of shy about it, but now hes got
to teach it... to college kids a year after he graduates
himself. It's crazy, and-- God, okay, he has to open a window or
something, he might be getting cold feet, but the room is
burning up.
He rushes over to one of the windows, fumbling around awkwardly
to get it open, leaning over.
"Now that's what I call a view."
Steve quickly spins around, eyes wide before seeing, oh, it's
just Bucky. The man stands at his doorway, leaning against it's
frame, grey t-shirt on and red gym shorts, a whistle around his
neck. He looks, well, hot. Everything in here is just... hot.
"You got the coach position after all?" Steve asks, turning back
around to continue fumbling with the window, hands trembling
just a bit.
"Hell yeah I did. The other guy dropped out last second, so Fury
saw it fitting to just give the job to me. It's better than
being unemployed, I guess. Do you need some help with that?"
Bucky finally asks, approaching Steve until he's next to him.
Steve steps away, face red. "Yes please. God, is it always like
this in here?"
Bucky laughs, sliding the window open a bit with ease, summer
breeze flowing inside. "It feels fine in here, Steve, it's those
damn nerves of yours. Just relax, isn't the first day of art
just teaching a bunch of rejects how to draw lines?"
Steve frowns, crossing his arms. "Hey, art students aren't
rejects, Buck," he objects.
"Suuuure they're not, Stevie. Well, I gotta head back to the
gym, I was just checkin' to see if that fine ass of yours was in
gear before your first class. Mine was easy as hell. Made the
kids run a mile."
"Really Bucky? On the first day?"
"Damn right on the first day. Someones gotta whip the kids into
shape, and I sure ain't takin' it easy on them," he snorts,
brushing his slightly damp hair back. "By the way, speaking of
not taking it easy on someone, are you still... ya know...
interested in..."
"What? Sex? Bucky, we talked about this--"
"Yeah, yeah, I know, I know, it's just hard to find game around
here, and, well, your ass is still the finest I've seen," Bucky
says with a smirk, waggling his brow.
"Get out of here, you perv," Steve grins, pushing Bucky back a
bit.
Bucky waves a finger. "Na-- ah-- ah, you were the perv first,
asking for my help."
"Get out!" Steve says again, smiling while Bucky laughs lightly,
turning around.
"You're a punk!" he calls back, walking out the door.
"Jerk!" Steve calls after him, still smiling. Okay, so he's not
as nervous now, but he kind of wishes Bucky would have opened
the window just a bit more... just in case he feels like he
needs to jump out and escape.

First day. First day. Wow. It feels so weird. Knowing
he'll be out of here by next year... well, hopefully, anyways.
Who knows how much of an ass Fury will be to him this year. But,
you know, he doesn't have to graduate when he's seventeen. It's
just a perk, right? It's also... yeah, it's a little
egotistical. I mean, he's seventeen, and he's still smarter than
all these ass holes. Well, maybe not Bruce. He's okay. Thank god
they're roommates.
Despite the months that Tony has spent away from the campus, it
doesn't look any different. The buildings are sleek, mostly made
of glass and shiny steel, and there are a few attempts at
greenery along the pathways. The only actual large tree on the
campus is smack-dab in the middle of it all, and you can
actually see it above the tops of the buildings if you stand in
the right place. It's absolutely enormous, and Tony guesses the
only reason it's there is because they just couldn't remove it
-- so, it became a centerpiece.
"Stark!" calls a familiar voice, and Tony turns his head to see
a gorgeous redhead jogging up the path to meet him, away from a
man with sandy brown hair and arms more muscular than the rest
of him. That would be Clint, of course, probably heading off to
class, and the redhead, of course, is Natasha. Tony smiles, and
gives her a wave. Natasha's a senior this year, but she'd sat
down beside him in statistics his freshman year and introduced
him to Bruce, who became his roommate second year, Clint, who
became his drinking buddy, and some foreign exchange students
that might be from Norway, but Tony can't really remember. In
any case, Tony couldn't imagine much of his life on the campus
without her.
"You never take classes before eleven," she objects, slowing to
a walk as she nears him. "And I've never seen you take a walk in
the years I've known you. Where are you off to?"
Tony purses his lips, raises his eyebrows, and hefts the bag on
his shoulder a little higher. "Art class," he says, with
emphasis. Natasha gives him a look.
"Double majoring in computer science and electrical engineering,
and you're taking art class?" Natasha sounds like she's having a
hard time believing him.
"I'm trying new things!" he announces defensively, to which
Natasha scoffs and shakes her head.
"You're trying to see if you can get into Steve Rogers' pants,"
she corrects, to which Tony shrugs. He doesn't expect to do
that, but, hell, he wouldn't complain if he did. "Trust me, half
that class signed up to see that poor man walk across the room.
I would have, to, but he actually is nice and I want to respect
him."
"You talked to him?" Tony asks excitedly, though Natasha talks
to everyone, it's not really a surprise. "What's he like?"
"If people were sugar, you'd get cavities just from talking to
him. He's very nice, and very corruptible. Gossip is he's also
gay, but Fury might have started that one to keep the ladies off
him."
"Fury shouldn't worry about the ladies," Tony says, and grins.
* * *
Tony really never has had a class before eleven, so he's more
tired than usual when Natasha drops him off around the Arts and
Humanities building, but, at the thought of seeing the man he'd
spied earlier this year, he perks up a little. The only problem
with art class is that Tony doesn't actually have any friends
inside it, but, whatever, Tony's sure he can find somebody to
talk hot teacher with.
The room, when he enters, is brightly lit and mostly white.
There are rows of tables, long enough to seat two people each,
and Tony slides into a seat in the back, not really focusing on
where he's seating. He's too busy looking at the front of the
room, where there is a glorious blonde man in a too-tight
button-down straining over his broad chest, his hips fitting
snugly into some very well-fitting slacks. He looks like he's
about to rip every seam on his clothes, and Tony's mouth waters
at the thought of it. He shifts a little in his seat, taking in
the rest of the man -- he's amazingly handsome, as well, which
is just fuel added to the fire, really, it's not Tony needs to
think about naked, handsome men more than he already does.
Somebody slips into the seat beside him, murmuring what Tony
supposes is a greeting. "Shrimp," he says with a nod of his
head. Tony actually just ignores him, used to it by know. You
should have seen him in freshman year. Chimp, Tony thinks
pleasantly, as he gets out a sketchpad and a pencil, happy at
both the unspoken insult and the fact that it rhymes. He's long
since found out that the best way to handle bullies is to
imagine scenarios in which you are above them. It tricks your
brain into thinking you win.

Steve scans his list of students once more, leaning
against his desk, noticing that there were a lot of girls, and
just overall a lot of students for each of his classes. Wow,
when he took art there was hardly anyone in there. Maybe just
more people like art these days? Who knows, all Steve's worried
about is the fact that instead of teaching one class of ten,
he's going to be teaching many classes with tons of kids. This
is not necessarily what he signed up for...
Steve continues to stare down at his list while students shuffle
in, afraid to see just how real this all is. He's a professor
now, and last year he had just been a student... just like these
kids. His heart starts to beat a little faster again. Just
breathe, he reminds himself. First day is the easiest. The day
you have to make a good first-impression, but the easiest...
He sets his list down, looking up to see that every seat is
filled, most of the boys in the back, all of the girls in the
front, eyes on him. That crack in the window is starting to look
really friendly again...
Steve clears his throat, loosening his tie just a bit, just to
make things more comfortable for himself. "Alright, class," he
begins, turning around to face the chalkboard (and yes, he
requested a chalkboard) and writing Professor Rogers on the
board very neatly. "My name is Professor Rogers, and this is,"
he brushes the chalk off his hands, turning back around to face
the class, "art."
"Damn right, it's art," he hears one of the girls whisper in the
front, some of the other girls giggling.
"Quiet please, ladies," Steve tells them, feeling awkward, but
looking confident. This is his class. He's in control, there's
no need to be nervous. He has the floor, and these kids have to
listen, it's fine.
"Now," Steve starts back up again, reaching on his desk to grab
a stack of papers, walking towards the front of the room to
start passing them out. "These are your syllabuses, but don't
panic, this class isn't as hard as you may think," he says,
going up and down the rows, passing out papers. "Art is meant to
be fun, to let your imaginations run free. Art is a class where
you can express yourself and show me your creativity. It's a
class that is meant to be taken seriously, but in a light way.
Everyone has a different way of expressing their talents and
imagination and I--" Steve stops as he looks down, offering a
syllabus to a guy who looks... way to young to be in the senior
classes. He looks to be a freshman. He's skinny, glasses pushed
up his nose, wearing a white v-neck and a red windbreaker.
He's... cute, but... but can't be a senior. Should I say
something? I mean, if he's not suppose to be in here you think
he would have already realized... "-- look forward to seeing
what you all can do..." he continues, moving along from the
young man with the glasses. He had been really cute, though.
Quite handsome for someone who seems so young.
"Now I you all would please cooperate, I'd like to go down each
row and have each of you say your names so I can check you off
the list." Steve announces, picking back up his list of
students. And to see if you're all suppose to even be in
here...

Tony keeps his eyes on Rogers the whole time people file
into class, watching as he loosens his tie, exposing a bit more
of his neck. Jesus, he's hot. He finally greets the class, and
introduces himself, writing his name on the chalkboard, and,
honestly, a chalkboard? The guy looks like he's happy to be
using it.
There's a sudden cacophony of giggle and whispers near the front
of the class, and Tony actually wishes he was up there -- he'll
probably feel more at home there, instead of the monkey he's
beside now. Though Professor Rogers had seemed a little nervous,
when he tells the girls to quiet down he's all authority and
confidence and, yeah, that's hot, that's double hot. Tony
wonders how many problems his going to have focusing in this
class.
Syllabuses start being handed to everyone, and Tony pretty much
tunes out when Rogers starts on the little speech that most
teachers make, just mainly focusing on the sound of the man's
voice. Tony knows what he's going to be thinking about tonight.
The voice stops suddenly, though, and Tony realizes that the
professor has stopped by his seat, staring down at him with
something like shock on his face. Ah, Tony had gotten this last
year, too. If his mind was normal or whatever, he'd be a
freshman at this time, but he is anything but normal and, as a
result, he's gotten a few weird looks to see a kid who could
still be in high school in senior classes. In any case, Tony
just gives the man a flirtatious smirk and takes the syllabus
from him, looking behind him as the man walks, and, oh, look,
his ass does not disappoint.
Steve finally returns to the front of the class, and starts
having people call out their names, crossing each one off as he
goes along. Tony, never willing to miss an opportunity when it's
handed to him, waits until it's his turn, and then he speaks up,
saying, "Totally Single." It gets a few giggles, but Tony's not
doing it for the laughs. He just smirks again, looking like he's
challenging the professor with his smile alone.

checking them off the list. Everything's going fine, that is,
until someone in the back speaks up, claiming his name to be
"Totally Single." Steve looks up to see that it's the kid that
looks much too young to be here, and clenches his jaw,
completely unamused as some student giggle. Oh he can already
tell this one is going to be trouble, and Steve doesn't like
having to put up with trouble.
"Your real name would be greatly appreciated, Mr..." Steve waits
for the reply, glancing at his list and checking the students he
has left. His eyes stop at a particular student by the name of
Anthony Stark, his year listed as Advanced Junior. Maybe that's
him... Come to think of it, he did hear something about a
fifteen year old making it into the program when he was in his
own junior year. Was this him, then? The "genius" who made it
into college at fifteen and is making immature and
unprofessional comments in the back of the room? "Stark?" Steve
throws out there before the guy can reply, looking up, almost
hoping that he's not right because, really, you think a man who

he's "Stark." Tony leans his elbow on the desk, and puts his
chin in his hand. This class is going to be amazing.
"You can call me Tony," he says, in what is most definitely a
flirtation, and bats his eyelashes innocently. That earns him a
few more laughs, alongside a few uncomfortable coughs, but, once

Sometimes it's best to ignore the attention seekers, and, well,
the flirters, which Steve has had to do on many occasions, he
doesn't get a lot of flirting from guys, though.
"Next," he says, not trying to encourage Tony in any way to

flattered, but he feels more objectified when the remarks come

the rest of the students say their names and nothing else,
helping Steve get right back on top of things without being

The rest of the class is how Tony expects the
first day of a college class to go -- Steve explains the
syllabus a bit more, their expectations and requirements and all
that, and Tony helpfully does not listen, staring at the
unbelievable pinkness of his lips, the sharp definition of his
face, the way his pants bunch around his thighs when he walks.
Porn stars have nothing on this guy, Tony thinks, and he's not
even naked. Natasha had said something about getting into Steve
Rogers' pants, and Tony hadn't taken her seriously, but, they
would be some very, very fine pants to get into.
Tony doesn't do much for the rest of class, because, as much as
he wanted to speak out again, there weren't many opportunities
for him to do so. When Rogers lets them go, Tony stands up
almost immediately, going to hurry to talk to his friends about
it -- and his bag goes sprawling on the floor. Tony looks up,
his eyes fierce, as pens go rolling and paper flutters out. It's
the guy sitting next to him, and the problem is, Tony can't
actually get mad at him, because it could've easily been an
accident. It wasn't, though. He knows it wasn't.
"Fag," the guy mutters under his breath, brushing past him,
leaving Tony as one of the only people left in the room. For a
moment, Tony considers going after him, but he insults the dude
fiercely in his mind, forces himself to calm down, and turns to

which isn't hard, it's just to draw something that tells him a
little bit more about the person. Simple, easy, Steve wants to
gradually get the kids in gear instead of loading them down, and
by the time 11:05 pulls around, Steve feels pretty confident,
the kids packing to leave.
Steve turns to his desk, making sure everything is in order for
his next class while kids file out, some of them saying goodbye
quietly. When Steve turns back around, however, it's just in
time to see Stark's stuff fall to the floor, Mr. Jason Davis
(who had been sitting next to him) looking quite proud of
himself, so Steve knew Stark's stuff being knocked over was not
an accident. Davis whispers something, and the look on Stark's
face tells him that it wasn't an apology, but, the anger in
Stark's eyes only really last a moment before he's picking up
his stuff.
Steve, without question, goes to Stark's side, having planned on
talking to him anyways, but also knowing when to lend a hand and
be generous. He picks up Tony's sketchpad and a few other papers
and a pencil, offering them to his student, briefly taking note
of the shade of brown his eyes were behind his rectangular
glasses. Gosh, the man was the living, breathing definition of
cute... but Steve can't let that cuteness fool him.
"Mr. Stark, I'd greatly appreciate it if you would please take
this class, and myself, a bit more seriously from now on," Steve
begins with his lecture, getting to his feet and holding out a
hand for Tony to take. "I would hate to have to make you clean
my chalkboard for a week," he adds, trying to get it through
Stark's head that he can't just start flirting with a teacher
throughout class. Steve's still not even sure if he was being
slightly serious or just trying to get a few laughs.
