What a bloody minefield!!!!!

As some of you may know I am a single, late-middle-aged man
living on my own.
Today I have had to face the absolute horror
of........................a broken washing machine >:(
Went online to look for a new one and entered a bewildering
world of nonsense such as I have never faced before.
6kg, 7kg, 8kg, 9-10kg (is it 9 or 10!!!)
1200 spin, 1400 spin, variable spin.
Washing machine, Spin washing machine (if anyone can explain the
difference it would be much appreciated as even my ex-wife who
is VERY anal about cleanliness doesn't know).
Do I want a Smart washing machine?
I don't know, will it be smarter than me?
Can it do other things than washing clothes that I don't know
about?
Do I want quick wash, smart delicate wash (for gortex and
waterproof items)?
Do I want a shoe wash so my trainers don't get damaged (my shoes
get washed in puddles, rivers etc as far as I am concerned)?
Do I want an A rating, an A+, an A++, an A+++ or an A++++
rating, I don't know ???
Finally, during my search I found the following statement from a
manufacturer which seemed to sum.m the whole buggery-bollox of
the situation up and I qoute:
'People’s safety is Whirlpool’s priority, which is why we are
proactively recalling certain models of washing machines
manufactured under the Hotpoint and Indesit brands between 2014
and 2018'.
So, 4 years.......4 years of your appliances potentially burning
peoples houses to the ground, losing all their belongings,
sentimental trinkets, family photos and possibly family members
and safety is your priority!!
God give me strength :o
Anyone got a working washing machine they don't want anymore?

The kg well depends on how much you want to put in.
So for being single well how many times you want to it.
The A+ etc is efficiency
Smart isn't always smart. As many still use to much soap.
Quick was we use it for when something is very dirty or
something that got something on it and it needs a wash before it
get stained

Washing machine... 8) I was always the one who wondered why his
blue T-Shirt suddenly had a different color after washing than
before. ??? :D ;D
