The next installment

What do you want to see in the next installment?
1. New engine/netcoding/etc. Everything to improve connection
2. New engine to get rid of headglitching.
3. Based on real wars/conflict
4. everything to improve connection
5. ping is king
6. A lot of maps.
7. diverse maps. 3 lane maps, cluttered maps, not smaller than
puketown. As large as the big WaW maps. (Can't say anything
about recent maps)
8. Co-op campaign/missions
9. No exclusive deal for any console

1. Dedicated servers with server browser like Battlefield does.
2. A real new engine, not just a heavily modified as it is in
MW.
3. Itīs time for a Vietnam, or Korean War CoD.
4 + 5. Ping has to be king and no SBMM. Dam let us slaughter
some "newbs" again. We had to fi8ght with the same shit as we
started to play. There has been no safe space. LOL
6. For sure more maps. Not only so few as it is in MW.
7. Dont care as long as the maps are good.
8. A good and longer campaign.
9. Dont care...

I know this is a pipedream... Having something like a map editor
would be awesome. Last time I played Forza Horizon 4 it had a
nice feature allowing community members to create customized
race routes.

Damn, Horrorman and Dtuchpunk really know what they want to see
in the next installment, and that's awesome.
You guys already know what I want, above all else: a game with
crisp netcoding, which will in turn help make the game great. It
doesn't matter how great a game looks; if you're netcode is
trash, and it is unplayable, you have nothing but a multimedia
coaster.
Also, like my friends mentioned, I want a completely new, built
from the ground up, engine. No more Quake98(v9. 3) nonsense. The
engine is old, and was great for the limited capabilities of
previous consoles. The current gen consoles we are playing on, I
feel, got cheated by Call of Duty because the old engine still
had the same restrictions on PS4 as it had for PS3. I can't go
put a new tire on my car, and sell my car as new- which is
basically what Activision has been doing for a long, long time.
The server browser is a great idea, so long as there are ping
requirements to be met in order to join any specific server.
Call of Duty allowing for fluctuations in ping, anywhere from
20ms to 150ms, is disgusting for a twitch shooter. If your ping
is 150-180ms to a server, you should not be on that server,
plain and simple.
I definitely want dedicated perk slots to return, as opposed to
this field upgrade nonsense. Seriously, who thought that was a
good idea? I also want to see a more diverse selection for those
of us who enjoy Hardcore. I understand that the reasons we have
a smaller playlist is partly due to having a "lower player
count" in HC (according to the data that Atvi and the devs
receive), but nobody has stopped to consider the fact that, just
maybe, the reason the HC playlists aren't as populated as Core
is BECAUSE of the lack of available modes. I would love to see,
early in the games life, a HC playlist consisting of everything
available in Core. Sure, there are certain modes they will be
forced to pull due to players using HC to farm kills, and
progress quicker, like they had to do with HC Capture the Flag,
but we need to see just how many players the HC list would have
if all modes were available in HC.
Oh, and I would love to see them get away from the Choopa
umbrella dedicated hosting company, and give another dedicated
server business a chance. I am completely underwhelmed, and
unimpressed by the Choopa, Vultr, Total Server Solutions, LLC,
and Gameservers.com servers, because they are unpredictable. I
can be connected to Chicago servers, on a Vultr Hostings server,
and have a 20ms ping, and seamless gameplay, only to have the
next match in Chicago be hosted by a different Vultr Hostings
server, and my ping fluctuates from 20ms to 40ms, for no reason.
Good topic, and hopefully more will join in.

Right, much of your post has gone over my head with a flock of
doves I'm afraid, but I am 100% behind you on the HC thing, as
you may know from my posts in the Before Life.
HC has ALWAYS had a shitter option of play modes and in this
iteration it seems that there are no plans to give us all maps
(which we eventually got in all other titles).
Core is for players who can't handle being 1 shotted because
their awareness was not with it or their reaction times were
slow. Core is for people who want to take a full clip and still
be able to turn round and kill you. Core is for pussies (e.g.
the pro players who have to have additional perks in pro games
because the reality is they are not really good enough to stack
up to many players in the real world and certainly not in HC!!
'Shut up, you did not just say that on an open forum did you??'
'Sure did, most pro players couldn't hit a cows arse with a
banjo without their additional perks').

Agree. Better a good playing game than a good looking game.
And they should stop with all those stupid coluurfull camos and
shit.
But the connection part is the part that decides if I will get
it or not.

One thing I really hope to see in the next CoD is the
elimination of doors and safe spaces.
As for map designs, I wouldn't mind some maps that are slightly
larger, or even small maps that break the 3 lane rule. I'd like
someone to invent a small map that has multiple avenues of
attack, instead of what we're used to. Granted, I hope they do
this cautiously and avoid going crazy, a la that skyscraper map
in Ghost that kept collapsing on itself, but something in
between.
Just once, I would like to see CoD quit copying what other games
are doing, and actually be an innovator again. In all fairness,
we could argue that CoD is just Medal of Honor, rebranded, with
a massive multiplayer following.
That's CoD for ya, though. They get burned once with the flack
they caught for taking us to space, and in turn, wind up chasing
other games ideas that are proven to work.

Please do NOT bring back specialists. Have to wait over half the
year for barebones playlist, and by that time I'm tired of the
game. Either don't have them, or have barebones right from the
start.
Maps better be better or I'll bring it right to GS, idc.
I don't mind the gunsmith. I'd tone it down on the amount of
attachments, and have far fewer weapon levels.
Get rid of the mounting. Or get rid of mounting for camo
challenges. <This is the number one reason I only have one gold
weapon.
Field upgrades are dumb, at least on MW. 90% of players just use
Dead Silence. Better off having that as a perk without the
faster sprint. Then have a perk for faster sprint and put it in
the same perk class as DS. Quiet footsteps a little like every
other CoD ever, then DS shouldn't be a crutch perk.
No SBMM, or whatever they got going on now. MWs matchmaking is
the worst I've seen. Stop with the bullshit, we all got along
fine back in the days before they decided to fuck around with
who plays with who. Rediculous.
Real weapons. Real world settings. I'm sure Vietnam would be
out, but would be nice.
Nameplates that show on enemies right away, and not just as they
are killing you. Backgrounds that don't blend players. Blue dots
on teammates should not show thru walls either. Rather they just
didn't indicate teammates with that blue dot.
No offense to anyone who likes battle royale, but I hope next
game they don't waste time and resources on it.
Zombies lol.

Infinity Ward seems to have a hard on for mounting weapons.
Remember when they tried that shit in Ghost, and nobody did it?
Doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
I'm right there with you on the Battle Royale, so Im glad to see
I'm in good company.
I have a feeling the next CoD is just going to be a soft reboot
of the Black Ops Series since it will be the last CoD made for
this generation consoles, kind of like how Ghost was.
