Here is why the official boards got closed

Blizzard has taken to banning anyone assisting others in
navigating the refund process.
But since Infinity Ward doesn’t have their own forums (I
checked) Activision decided to shut down the C0D forums
upstream.
Im 8 minutes into this video, but thats what it looks like to
me.
Thoughts?

And the coin is always the same when it comes to this; money.
I however do doubt its just that, mate. For as you see; a new
one (this one) popped up even before the old one was closed.
It's too drastic for something that they know is futile.

It does not seem far fetched. Coincidentally, I though about
something kind of similar yesterday when I was expecting
Shipment 24/7 to be removed today, and I cheekily thought about
all the threads we would miss asking for it to be put back. ;D
Activision might have decided to shut down the forums because
their programming and marketing practices were being called out
often; as well as there were threads about asking for refunds
and class action lawsuits. Bad publicity.

But even they know its completely futile, people gather to other
spots on the world wide web - and to not keep an eye out for
what's going down with the participants, that's just dumb,
better to keep an eye out on us so they can be prepared

Someone who has a yootube login or tw1tter, please consider
watching this video (since thegamingrevolution apparently has an
inside source at IW) and either comment on his vid or tw33t him
our question as to the official reason given for shutting down
the boards and if its temp or perm. Thanks in advance if anyone
takes this on.

playstyle as "taking out people without really any brain
activity going on" I quit watching.

yeah I found that offensive too.
But at the end of the video he asks "If you have any questions
you would like me to ask my inside source..."
So I thought it would be good to find out why the boards were
closed.
This insider doesn't seem to be loyal to the "corporate answer"
and will tell the truth as they see it.
For background, many of the inside scoops he has leaked have
turned out to be true.

So the Devs want a campy game but won't release a map because
it's campy.
And what I think the reason they deleted the forum's. Well
anything negative.

Why is there nothing about the boards shutting down on the
internet AT ALL? Like, zero outrage, zero mention of it, zero
talk whatsoever...
Why is that?
Everyone just accepted it?

Was at Game Stop yesterday swapping out "stick creep"
controller. I told the girl behind the counter that I had never
heard of that and that I had asked the question on a forum I was
on and someone told me that's what it was. She knew exactly
what it was, hooked it up to a tester and you could literally
see it happening. Anyway, I digress...
I told her that I had explained my problem on a forum I was on
since Activision had shut down their official forum and before I
could say anything else she said, "Ohhh yea, Activision is
having some real problems". I told her the forum I was on had
been formed by old Activision forum guys as a replacement to
them shutting down theirs.
She never did say what the problems were as there were several
customers walked up to the count about that time. But even the
Game Stop sales folks are aware of something going on.
