FAL and FR 5.56

My bottom choices of assault rifles in MW 2019 are the FAL and
the FR 5.56. I haven't touched the FAL for weeks after maxing it
out. I found the FR 5.56 so frustrating that I abandoned the
chase to max it out around level 31. So I was gladly surprised
last night when I equipped the FR 5.56, which is the only
assault rifle that I have not maxed out, and I was able to
inflict a lot more damage than the last time I used it. Granted,
I was still using the default sensitivity level at that time, my
experience was much lower by then, or the weapon might have been
buffed in the mean time. Still not a top choice for assault
rifles but I was gladly impressed with its performance. What are
the things you like about these rifles? What do you think about
them?

Cant tell much about. Used the FAL as it was available, and gave
up after I had to figure this weapon is not made for me. Same
with the FR 5.56. Both weapons are for me just hitmarker
machines, and so I dont used them any further.
Probably I have to try them when you say both got probably
buffed, but it has to be stealth buffs, I didnt have seen
anything about that these guns got buffed.

It might be that they got buffed. It might be a combination of
other factors. The FR 5.56 does not feel frustrating anymore.

Haven't touched either one yet. Only burst fire weapons I've
gotten along with were the Pharo from BO3 and the Raijin(epic 4
round burst version) from Infinate Warfare. Both were SMGs. I
have liked the FAL in a couple previous CoDs, but semi-autos
sort of fell out with how I play now. When I get bored of
sniping I might give at least the FAL a go, if I keep playing
MW.
Side note from a different topic. I have finally put down the
AX50/MP5 loadout...now it's AX50/Bizon :)
Wish I would've been using the Bizon all this time. Fits me
well.

The Bizon is a well hidden gem. If you fire it a lot an ammo
attachment for 84 rounds is unlocked in the middle to last
levels.

I completely concur with the famas and FAL being the worst
weapons in the game. They are frustrating, unreliable, and are
just off..off..
I have had rounds where the famas hits your for two, at times
one and ends them, then suddenly, 5 volley hit and I am the
one who are killed when the other turns around and wooshes me
over.
The FAL needs a buff - seriously, semi and 5 hits in the chest
to take them down, geez louisee

Interesting that nobody seems to like the 5.56, as I am in love
with that sucker. Granted, I'm playing primarily on Shipment
right now to level everything up quickly, but it one bursts
everybody for me on Shipment, and that's without using any of
the special ammo types.
I take it this gun sucks at longer range engagements or
something?

They generally do for a couple reasons. The farther away a
target is the smaller they are so its easy for one round or two
to not land (especially on a moving target). Also damage drop
off. Even if they all land they may not pack enough punch for a
one burst kill. I have no idea about them values either.
I've recently put my button layout to my IW days, so goodbye
semis, and unles it's an auto-cycling burst fire weapon like the
rajin, I'm out with them as well. :)

Funny story: I got wrecked by what seemed like a fully auto FAL,
and messaged the guy saying “Cheater” but he replied “Did you
forget it has burst?”
Yeah I felt bad. Oh well, live and learn I suppose.

So I gave the FAL another chance last night and I can say
"FAIL".
It is definitely strong up close, but on St. Petro I was on the
roof of the billiard hall and someone was running across to jump
in the back/upstairs window of the restaurant and I could not
hit them at that range AT ALL. Maybe I just missed them all
8-10 shots but I doubt it. It just has sucky range. My MP5/MP7
have better range than this "AR".
It would be a decent option with stopping power and range, but
alas, it should be re-named FAIL
