Can not block players now.

Like the title says, you can no longer block players. Why they
would take that function out is beyond me.

Many of the developers' decisions do not make sense. One of
these led to the creation of this forum.

My guess is three things..well two things and one crack pot
theory:
Good players who mop the floor with other people get blocked so
much that now they cant find any proper matches that arent
against the same 6 people.
Another borrows from the first theory in that its reversed. Bad
players get blocked either cause they have bad internet or drop
the ball in critical moments(IE being the last person alive in
SnD because they were camping then proceeding to die because
they dont check corners.) and they get put into lobbies were
rage quitters and would be cheaters are.
crack pot theory is that the hackers are actually the ones
blocked and complaining they cant find matches except for
matches with other hackers.

Maybe that functionality does not work because it was disabled
while they work on implementing a better solution... :o Who
knows? It is mere speculation since Activision and Infinity Ward
are not what we can call very communicative with their player
base.

Didn't know this, but have to ask why you feel the need to block
people?
Given the way the lobbies work now I would imagine the odds of
meeting them again would be fairly low.
I have seen a couple of names in lobbies that I have seen
before, but not that many and usually in the less populated game
modes

Blocking (so as not to play with them anymore) only works (or
worked) on Xbox. On PS4 blocking someone just means they can't
send you a PM or a FR. In the last few weeks, playing all HC
TDM, I'm seeing the same people more often than anytime in the
past. I've run into the same players in back to back to back
lobbies which is unheard of in the past. This is the first COD
that this has happened. In past iterations if I saw the same
person in any given lobby twice over the lifespan of the game it
only once or twice. This is from Ghosts to BO4.
Maybe there is something to this SBMM thing after all. It can't
be pure coinkydink...

People will block people same sbmm bracket to get lower.

I only play HC where team killing is a thing...and I know
because I've done my share...although almost always
accidentally. If I kill a teammate and they spawn and then kill
me back I understand and I'll usually let it go. If they then
kill me again when they clearly knew it was me, I'm blocking
them. Same thing with anyone on my own team who I notice has
killed more than 2 of our own players...and not via a
killstreak. There are just some players out there who like to
be a-holes and I don't need to see them again. And I have been
put right back into a lobby with someone I just blocked and it
asked me if I wanted to stay in the lobby.

I also play HC only and 9 times out of 10 my team kills
(particularly in TDM) come from the Rambo assholes who can't
resist rushing and flipping the spawns so the enemy is now
behind you without you knowing and are therefore coming from the
direction that the enemy should be coming from.
To those players, glad I killed you, hope to kill you again, and
again, and again etc.
TEAM deathmatch dickheads!!
