Rerolling a Carepackage gone (and other annoyances)

Remember being able to
1. See what a cp contained before accepting it?
2. Being able to "re-roll" a cp in case it was something dumb
like a UAV, in which case it turned into a trap that killed the
enemy thief who stole it?
This was always the case in prior installation of C0D, but I'm
surprised to not hear much about the change with Modern Warfare.
Anyways, I was thinking about this the other day. Not being able
to tell what is in a CP is annoying. You risk your life
sometimes for something that you already have (like a personal
radar).
Would anyone else like to see the carepackages put back the way
they were?

This is the first CoD version where I have seen care packages.
If Black Ops 4 has them I never saw one. I understand what you
mean about the risk you take when you call one which is why I
only do so when there is a specific challenge about it. I can
see from the game designers' perspective why it works the way it
currently does. It boils down to what you said, if players had
the choice to re-roll care packages then everyone would re-roll
them until they get a Juggernaut, a VTOL Jet, or a Support Helo.
Also, this would dilute the value of "high" killstreaks, which I
assume are meant to be a reward for your number of kills without
dying. Also, everyone would be calling these type of
killstreaks. It would be like Drop Zone matches where the care
packages mostly called good killstreaks so you had Gunships and
Chopper Gunners very often. For me, I like the way they work
now. I made the choice to not worry about care packages and it
has been working for me.
In a related note, I only call UAVs and personal radars on 2XP
weekends.

You could only reroll once. You couldn't sit there and wait for
the highest streak. So for example, if you got a mid tier
killstreak and wanted to roll the dice, you potentially could
get something lesser, and have to stick with it.
I never used CPs much. It was nice to see what you were getting
though. I think MW3 started the decoy CP that would blow up an
enemy if they tried stealing it. That was fun. Then I think it
migrated to you could reroll it, and also turn it into an
explosive for enemies, with engineer I believe. (Engineer also
highlighted fake care packages as well, so you could tip off
your teammates.)
Overall, I'd say I prefer how it used to be. Even though I don't
use them much, it was nice to see what you were getting and I
like the reroll plus booby-trapping.
