I personally believe Blackout is going to be a "spin off" of
Call of Duty, and be it's own, standalone game. I think it will
be supported like any other video game, like Sonic or some other
game, but the support will all come from the staff that Vohn
brings in, as well as the folks currently working on the game,
and we will no longer hear from Vohn like we used to.
I just dont think Infinity Ward is capable of properly managing
a Battle Royale game this year.

As they focus on cosmetics mostly.

Raven software are apparently the team behind the "rumoured"
battle royale mode which would make some sense, as other members
have pointed out, IW are spinning their own plates ::)
I'm not sure if this is relevant but Raven's twitter retweeted
the season 2 update which they may be doing to emphasise the
company line, or maybe as I hope because they have something up
their sleeves?
A standalone would seem to be a feasible choice but MW needs
good PR at the moment and a BR mode with expansive maps maybe
the shot in the arm this game needs? (fingers crossed) :)

The only reason I don't put much stock in that tweet is because
of what happened during WWII, when a "new" studio tweeted out a
very vague tweet about, "can't wait to see you on the
battlefield." Everybody speculated that it meant this or that,
and as it turned out, they were nothing more than a support
studio for Call of Duty: Mobile (there's a CoD that died out
quick. Another great business strategy from our friends at
Activision.)

BR mode (Firestorm) pretty much split the Battlefield community
and then killed the BF V game.
The devs attention was stretched too thin.
If ACTV is able to let another dev like sledgehammer or someone
besides IW work on it, ok fine, but IW has plenty of
bugs/exploits/new content to work on as it is.. adding a BR mode
to their plate could have negative consequences to their core
audience.
I, for one, do not like BR modes, even though I realize many do.
It just seems like its one or the other, I dont see ppl playing
MW and a BR at the same time.
They already seem overwhelmed with the scope of ground war, I
think adding BR to their plate is way too ambitious.
(IMHO)

Apparently there is a menu option on the main screen after the
update that says classified i have attached a screen shot below,
most people are saying BR but I guess i'll wait 3 F***IN hours
to find out >:(

Well, according to XclusiveAce, who had a history of making
statements that he claims "are just my opinions", the fact that
the "more" logo, on the official Timeline for Season 2 is a
crown, he said that very well could hint at Battle Royale. Had
it been just some dipshit making that claim, I probably wouldn't
put much value in their statement. Given the fact that I have a
very, very, very strong reason to believe that Ace is being fed
lines to say, from Activision, I am going to slightly alter my
belief on whether or not Battle Royale will be coming to Modern
Warfare.
Even though I never read one word about Battle Royale being
included in Modern Warfare the entire year before it's release,
during the hype train months, and despite the fact that I still
have no reason to believe there is a team at Infinity Ward that
is, or has been, actively working on Battle Royale, AND, despite
the fact that I just feel that Infinity Ward simply is incapable
of developing a Battle Royale, I'm going to change my previous
belief where I stated that there is 0% chance of BR coming to
Modern Warfare. I still have no reason to believe it is coming,
but I will now give it a 20% chance of happening within the year
strictly based on what I know about Activision, and Activision
partnered content creators on YouTube. If you hear any content
creator that has ever been flown out by Activision for a
capture/reveal event, do not believe any of them when they say
"that's just my opinion." Even the guys we perceive as being
part of our community, like PrestigeIsKey, and XclusiveAce, they
are being fed things to tell us in exchange for their flight and
hotel accommodations. They may not have been told "Battle Royale
is coming to Modern Warfare, so here's what I want you to do",
but I guarantee you a conversation has been had that goes
something like,
ACTIVISION: "Thank you all for coming out. Look, we know the
community is talking about BR. We would appreciate it if you
guys could point out that, in our road map of the S2, we
included the picture of a crown under the "more" section. It's
worth pointing out that, many BR games use a crown logo in some
way to signify the winner of a BR match. We are not confirming
or denying anything at this stage, but this is a talking point
we'd love to see you bring up to your viewers." Sound far
fetched? Trust me, it happens.

I tend not to watch the bigger you tubers for exactly the
reasons you mentioned, I like to support the smaller ones as
they give a more balanced view.
It's funny you say that about xclusive ace's video because when
i saw the crown yesterday on charlie intel.com I thought the
exact same thing, having seen the intro to season 2 today, i'm
beginning to think it's probably going to be coming soon.

There were also a couple more hints besides the classified
section and the crown place-holder:
1. Launch video shows two Soldiers saying “Hurry, the gas is
closing in on us, we need to exfil now” (which sounds a lot like
what happens in any BR mode)
2. At the end of the trailer, they show a bunch of Soldiers
jumping into combat from a C-5 (Globemaster) airship ala BR mode
style.
So yes I would hazard a guess that it is coming soon.
PS: Ghost also says (To Cpt. Price) “Somethings gone wrong in
Verdansk, they’re targetting their own” (this sounds like BR
where its every man for himself.. or every 2 man squad)

This last clue is a bit of a stretch, but...
They show the squadmate get shot, but its as though he is still
revivable (like in fortnite or firestorm) but then he takes a
killshot to the dome. This is how most BR modes work.
It was subtle, but it was there...
(Even in z0mbies, when you are downed you can still crawl around
and use your pistol)
