Battle Royale (Warzone)

Battle Royale for season 2
Who thinks the rumoured Battle Royale mode will come in season 2
around February 11th, if so are people in this forum looking
forward to it?
Activision have remained tight lipped about it until now which
surprises me as they don’t usually pass on hyping up the
community in preparation for milking.
The gaming revolution guy has revealed a number of leaks which
I’m sure most have seen, which seem to be feasible but obviously
subject to change.
I would love a BR for this game as Blackout was the majority of
my playtime on BOPS4, apparently the MW map is potentially 4
times the size of Blackout which would be insane, but is very
“camper heavy” ;D

I am not loosing any sleep about a mode that I won't play,
unless the match is in Shipment or a map of similar size. But
the map size will be bigger so it is very unlikely that I will
give it a whirl.

I heard some rumors as well and I think it will come either with
the start of season 2, or a little bit later. I will give it a
try and I have to say I´m curious about of how they made it in
MW.
I didnt liked Black Ops 4 Battle Royal game mode, so I only
played it 2-3 times in BO4 and never touched it again.

I think I played two matches of TDM on BO4 and decided it wasn't
my game (not having a campaign was a game killer) and it has
been gathering dust on the digital shelf ever since.
I may have a tickle if it comes out on MW as I can't be bothered
with Fortnite (sorry MW V1) anymore, but not sure if I will play
it much.
Ground war is enough of a camper nightmare without it getting
worse!!

On the fence. It would be nice to have a battle royale game were
im actually human and not SJW bait, a robot, or a mannequin
looking tosser. On the other hand, given how many times i die to
bullshit in the game a BR mode would only make me go full aggro
on Infinity Ward.
Even if I was somehow a god at this mode, BR games get boring
super fast for me. I like big wide open maps. I love scavenging
for shit. Hate the 10 different teams against each other
mechanic.

Curious here. Was the Battle Royale advertised during the Super
Bowl as it had been rumoured? I did not get to see the Super
Bowl commercials yesterday because the Canadian broadcaster
intervened the signal. Argh! My search did not yield positive
results.

I don't think it was advertised during Super Bowl, I'm beginning
to doubt if it will be in season 2 at all as we are only a week
away and there just isn't any new information on it at all.

Watched the Super Bowl, missed only a few commercials that didnt
sound like war or gun fire. Im like 80 percent sure there was no
CoD Superbowl ad and going on youtube shows no results for a CoD
ad.

I'll be honest, I hope there is no BR announcement, but not
because I'm anti Battle-Royale. Aside from the fact that I just
do not personally enjoy non-respawn game modes, I just feel like
they have too many other things that need fixed in their core
game, they need not go adding more crap to cause issues. Let's
face it, this has not been a smooth year for Infinity Ward in
terms of bugs, fixes, lack of communication, mass confusion
amongst themselves to the point they can't even get patch note
details correct. In short, they've performed about as well as a
mid-size, independent developer.
Also, when you look at things, I don't think they've assigned
anybody to head up the Battle Royale experience in the way I
would expect. We knew going into Black Ops 4 that David
Vonderhaar, the man who has always been the face of multiplayer,
was tapped to be the lead for their Battle Royale. Granted, a
lot of morons continued to ride Vahn for the MP issues, even
though they were none of his concern. With Infinity Ward, we
just don't have that. We have Joe Cecot, and then, who? Nobody
that I recognize and would trust to head up a Battle Royale.
I really think that Call of Duty's entire Battle Royale scene
will revolve around Blackout. I can see that being it's own,
non-two year title, that retains support indefinitely, which is
usually until the cost to operate the servers and add new
material becomes greater than their return on their investment.
I think Blackout is a testing of the waters, and I hope that BR
stays limited to one title.

I wonder if they gonna support bo4 BR next installment as
sledgehammer is a support company again. And we're back to a 2
year cycle.
