Why so many optics?

Even on the AK which is an outdated weapon there are 19 options.
Is this really necessary?

I don't think so. Let's see it this way, you have at least 19
levels for that weapon... :o

Yeah, but six or so reflex sights (not sure of exact number) are
not needed IMO, it is just a way to pretend that content is
maxed out when no-one uses half of it.

Agreed. You just pointed out one of the answers: Giving the
impression of extra content. The only use I had for Reflex
sights it was to unlock reticles since I prefer Holo sights.
Similarly, I haven't used 2 of the Holo sights after having
unlocked all reticles for them.

Yes because that one fits better with the pink camo.
And well it's more content.
Content is more important than well for example servers.

I like how guns that should have a load of scopes/sights dont.
Why does the AK have a sniper scope, but the Dragaknov has no no
scope, or reflex sights. I only ever use the mini-reflex sights.
Only time i used different sights were the times i tried
grinding out the unlockable sights.
At least theres no sights, scopes or reticles behind moronic
paywalls.
I literally have no reason to attempt to get the Damascus skin
since all the camos i legit want are behind paywalls.
