Final update from me folks.
Finished my shield today and Damascus is there
[emoji1][emoji1][emoji1]
It was a long slog and so I would like to thank:
My mother who had the common sense to make sure I was born with
thumbs so I could use a controller,
My Playstation and TV for not melting down, and
My dogs for still not going to the toilet in the hall although I
have ignored your requests to go out when I am 'in the zone'!!

Congrats! I can't imagine how you go through the combat knife

Damascus still looks far away to me. The only gold SMG I have is
the Bizon; the MP7, AUG, P90 and Uzi are close to be gold. I am
a bit disappointed that I just completed all the challenges for
the Dragunov, the only sniper rifle that it was missing the gold
camo for. But it only unlocked the gold camo and it did not
unlock the platinum camo, which I was expecting to happen. Then
I read the unlocking description and it says that all DMRs and
Snipers have to be gold to unlock it. Ouch! The SKS should be
fun to get gold but I am not looking forward to do this for the
Crossbow., neither for the Shield and Combat knife.

Don't forget the crossbow and SKS in theory won't need getting
to gold to get the rest platinum, only the original weapons.
Saying that, I have been working on those too, just to complete.
But for me, I still have to complete:
Launchers: (mainly just the attack and defend kills on most)
Strela. Pain in the arse to get aerial as it doesn't lock on
RPG. Same as above
Jokr.
Knife.
Have, never really used it, that's going to be fun, NOT

I found the Spotter perk very helpful to shoot at aerial
vehicles.
For Strela and RPG. shoot personal radars, counter UAVs and VTOL
Jets. I stopped trying for UAVs due to the same reason you
mentioned. I was able to shoot only one I think, until I decided
to disregard them.
The JOKR is helpful when you have a line of sight and time
available.
Knife... Well, I would rather play in Azhir Cave. ::) :o

The best maps to shoot aerial killstreaks down are: Gun Runner,
Arklov Peak, Grazna Raid and Hovec Sawmill.
Other good maps to shoot aerial killstreads down are: Hackney
Yard, Shoot House and Piccadilly.

To be fair, the knife was one of the most fun things to do.
Throw your KD out of the window but ace to hear the ragers when
you get them with it.
Helps to get it gold when Shipment is in rotation though

Sort of figured out the Strela for UAV, got a few today by
tracking them and aiming slightly in front and above
Doesn't always hit, but more often than not lol

Just need about 20 or so each of the attacker and defender kills
for the Jokr now (Strela all done)
It's just such a pain as it takes so long to lock on
Playing domination to do it, as doing domination challenges at
the same time
And then the knife, oh Lord

I found the JOKR very useful in Headquarters and Hardpoint
matches.
