Its been mentioned in a couple of other threads, but thought a
separate one for OCD's like me to list their progress on the
Road to Damascus would be a good idea.
So how are people's slog going? For me:
AR's
Platinum
SMG's
Platinum
SHOTGUNS
Platinum
LMG's
Platinum
DMR's
Platinum
SNIPERS
Dragunov
HDR
HANDGUNS
Platinum
LAUNCHERS
Pila
JOKR
RPG
MELEE
Combat Knife

Im not really trying for damascus, it seems too far out of reach
for me since i never use sniper/marksman rifles
But thus far, I have the following GOLD
SMG:
MP5
MP7
Bizon
Shotgun:
725
Pistol:
.357
AR:
None (but im super close on the M4, i could get in a day if i
tried.. but meh)

No Damascus for me. There are some weapons that I will not or
will seldom use in this game. I have already started to tag them
with a specific camo and sticker so it is easier to remember how
bad are for my me and my play style.
Gold: PILA, Strela-P and RPG-7 launchers.
Platinum: Shotguns
My ARs and SMGs are primed for the gold camo. All of them have
all but the Splinter camo challenges completed. I get very few
longshots. :o :(

Same here, never use DMR, sniper or launchers but they will have
to be done or I don't consider the game finished LOL

Ah.. a completionist.
It must be a pain when they go and add new weapons late in a
game’s lifecycle.
Just think, a new C0D is projected for this holiday season (7
months away)

Yes it is, but a new COD may be 7 months away but I have been
bitten enough times not to pre-order it.
Reckon I have time to finish this one :)

Updated :)
Have to say the handguns and shotguns seemed very easy to
accomplish relatively. Mostly 25-35 of whatever to complete
rather than the hundreds required for the AR's etc.

Good for you. Congratulations. I can't see myself crossing the
FAL, FR 5.56 and DMRs bridges.

While I'm not in front of my monitor, I think I can give a
rundown by heart.
ARs=0
SMGs=0
Snipers and Marksman=0
Pistols=0
Shotguns=0
Knife=0
I think that pretty much covers it, lol.
