Flashing green square under rank

Anyone know what this is because it wasn't there before?
Under my rank in the top right of my screen I have Social, a
symbol with 1/20 after it and the number of PS players online.
Now, after the 1/20 there is a flashing green square.
Its not a friend request cos there are none pending.
Anyone got any idea?

Double check your messages under Social. I had the same issue
yesterday after the update. In my case it was a pending invite.

Could be because I just invited you to my Regiment about 20 mins
