Why permit data-mining?
By: STABBOTAGE Date: February 26, 2020, 8:13 am

I don’t understand why devs need to put files into updates ahead
of time.
They know there are very skilled ‘hackers’ that can unpack files
and gain a lot of intel from the names of files.
So why do they preload these files in game a month before battle
royale (for instance)
And why do ppl say the latest update was 50+ gb because it had
BR in it, when, if true, we will still have a huge download
coming when it finally launches in a week or two?
Does anyone know why this is and why they dont write stealthier
file names? (Or just not include them until launch?)
Thanks for helping me figure this out (especially in light of
the fact that Actv goes to such lengths as to sue leakers)

Because lazy?
Put anything in update even when that part isn't gonna be
released yes.
And don't bother chancing names takes time.
But we get mad people data mine our shit.
More logical explanation it's Activision. There is no logic.

Exactly. Activisions been doing the same shit for so many years
now, that I believe data mining has worked it's way into being a
not so secret, secret. It's the same shit with "leaks" and
"accidental reveals". Anybody that can't see these leaks are a
part of the CoD sales tactic is a retard.
Look at Drift0r's first video about BattkeRoyale, where I called
him out for being revived by CharlieIntel. They're all willing
participants in Activisions promotions department, so don't
believe anything you read on those sites.
How does this tie into data mining? Simple. It's free
advertising.

I just noticed we have a language filter now. That's news to me,
lol. Whoops.
Indeed, they all say "this is my honest opinion", and then they
all say slightly different variations of the same thing. For
instance, Drift0r may say "the map design is tremendous, and the
attention to texturing and overall aesthetics of the map are
remarkable." Meanwhile, someone like Swagg or K3 would say, "Yo
man, this new Battle Royale map from infinity Ward is an
absolute banger, dawg. Lissen to me for a second ya'll, remember
that (map name) from MW3? It's back boys. That's right ya'll,
infinity ward done went and put (map name) in the middle of this
map, like it ain't no thing. Y'all feel me?" (PS: I know how
that comes across, and I don't care. We all know it's true.)
It's the same thing said a different way, depending on the
presenter, in an attempt to sound authentic. It's a joke.
