Personal Radar and UAV

Besides their shape, and the fact that one is for just me and
the other is for the whole team (I guess), are there any other
differences between a Personal Radar and a UAV?

The big one for me (and the reason I don't use Personal Radars)
is that the UAV floats around the map, the PR stays directly
above you so you may be able to see the dots but they can also
see your location (roughly) if they can see the vehicle.

Interesting. I didn't know that piece of information. I don't
use the mini-map actually. It is very difficult for me to move
my sight away from the middle of the screen in order to take a
look to the mini-map due to my vision condition. I get killed
more quickly than usual if I do so. ;D I only use these
killstreaks for 2 things: 1.- The extra points you get per kill.
Granted, not a big amount but they are better than zero while
you are ranking up. 2.- As "markers" for the number of kills I
get and how close I am to call a VTOL Jet. Thanks for the info.

As mentioned in my previous post, I use the personal radar as a
marker to give me an idea of the number of kills I have going.
One thing I don't like a lot about the Personal Radar is that
many times when I want to use it I get the message saying that
the Personal Radar is already active. So I have to wait until I
hear the message that my personal radar has run out of fuel,
which I hear a lot. I seldom hear the message that the personal
radar has been shot down. I have shot down a lot of enemy
personal radars using the Strela-P launcher, all this in
Shipment, so why my personal radar is running out of fuel? One
part of the answer might be that enemies don't shoot at it
because they use a different strategy. Another part of the
answer might be that I run around the map a lot (I get the Nomad
commendation often) so the personal radar is not still and the
shooters get killed while aiming at it.

I started to use and love personal radar instead of UAV,
especially on Shipment. It gives you a brief about nearby
enemies, so you know where they are. I only should use the Radar
more often. LOL

I would have to find first a way to take a look at the mini-map
without getting killed, and then practice it a lot. :(

I believe it is possible to make the minimap larger in the
settings (at least with most games you can)
Being able to move it to a different part of the screen would be
ideal.
Personal radar has gotten me quite a few kills that I would have
not gotten otherwise.
Plus, in FFA a UAV is less helpful since there is no team.
When I play FFA (which is always unless working on some random
challenge or squadding w/ a friend) and I hear there is a UAV
up, I ignore it, and dont even run ghost perk because it just
means there is only 1 of 7 other players that can see it and
chances are they are on the other side of the map.
If I am camped out somewhere and it brings someone into my trap,
then good :)

I won my first FFA match yesterday according to the weekly
challenges! The odd thing is that I have never played FFA... :o

I got that as well, but I have played it in the past and won so
reckon it was a fair decision to give it me LOL

There is something like that for me in the weekly challenges...
i cant temember but its either a field upgrade ive never used, a
weapon ive never used or a game mode ive never played.
Whatever..
