Exactly! I've been having the hardest time seeing enemies, so I
went with that sclezero nvg sight, that makes everything green,
but the players glow bright red, like a thermal camera. I had to
do that for five games just to get an idea of how the hell the
map is laid out because I never played the original. I've
altered contrast, brightness, played in scenery, RGB, Reading,
and nighttime mode on my monitor before returning to Game Mode.
The nameplates look like the enemy had a counter UAV up nonstop,
so that doesn't help.
Also, I can't help but wonder whether or not the original had
the spaces in the back with the walls, and little cutouts that
people usually hide behind. My gut says no, but my brain says it
doesn't know.

It actually isn't as bad as I thought it would be. I'd rather
play on Rust than Shipment. I do remember the MW2 version not
having quite as much stuff. I remember it being more wide open.
Could be that they use different objects though, or that I'm
going to areas I normally didn't on MW2, idk. On MW2 you could
see like 2-3 enemies spawn in sometimes. Didn't see
that.....yet. I did spawn-die-spawn-die probably twice out of
four matches I played. That will likely come to be more common
the more I play. Least it's not as bad as Shipments spawn-death
loop.
Edit: Ya know, now that I'm thinking about the old version of
Rust. They are similar. I just remembered some areas from when
me and my buddies used to play FFA QSing matches. They have them
here, just different objects. I remember the one covered corner
of the map. The sort of offset container on the one side. Might
have a couple things placed here and there on MW that wasn't on
MW2. It's all coming to me now lol.
How bout that supercenter Walmart map though? 27-10 my first
(and only so far) time playing it woohoo😝. That one I'm
not sure about yet. I could see myself not liking it. Lots of
objects to go around. Lots of hiding spots where I couldn't see
enemies. Lots of second level areas, like on the shelves. Idk,
have to play it more before I judge I suppose.

Anyone else notice a massive FPS drop when you climb the tower?
Hard to hit people with a sniper from up there.

Yep, it's laughably bad. The first time I climbed it I thought
my PS4 was gonna die. The fan kicked into high gear, and my game
damn near came to a standstill. Just another fine quality
product pushed through by Infinity Ward.
Maybe it's this "new" engine that the game is running on that is
not fully compatible with that map....

It feels like Modern Warfare 2 all over again. The spawns are
sorta the same. I played around 25 matches tonight on the map
with enemies either spawning on one side of the map, or right
next to you. People have already found some BS camping spawns on
the tower. It is better than Shipment, that much is for sure.

^known issue on their trello board (just FYI)
Good catch James

Stabbster pointed out that the bug is being worked on. While the
fix arrives, try using a Marksman or Assault Rifle with a scope
without magnification. My guess is that the game is switching
gears into overdrive when it starts rendering your view from
above due to the zooming factor causing the CPU fan to turn on
or the FPS drops you notice. I had a couple of matches last
night where a tower climber (who was not me) didn't seem to have
many difficulties when pointing at and killing runners below (my
teammates and me). These shooters on the tower were using
assault rifles with no-magnification scopes, one had 80+ kills
in one of the matches.

I have to respectfully disagree with you on this one,
Gordontonio. At least on Shipment, I routinely smacked the
opponents around, always going positive, usually by double. Two
or three times, I cracked 10k in score, and that is without the
use of killstreaks- I only run personal radar, UAV, and some
other shit in the third category that doesn't matter since I
never get that many kills before dying anyhow.
I can not, for the life of me, go positive on Rust. Even when I
am on the top of the leaderboards, my KD is usually negative. I
can't see shit, so I have to use that Solozero enhance NVG sight
or whatever the hell it's called. I've run SMGs, then decided to
stay around the perimeter and run ARs, and absolutely nothing
worked. I get a kill, then die twice. Rinse, repeat, and fold.

@mygamertaksucks
I have to disagree on disagreeing about... Right! What are we
disagreeing about? ;D My poor choice in wording might have
caused confusion but I do not see any opinion issued by me. :)

You know something? You're right! I don't see it, either. I was
responding to a comment that said "but it's better than
Shipment", or "at least it's not Shipment." I thought
That was the statement I thought I was responding to, and I was
saying that I liked Shipment wAy more than Rust. I'm confused as
to how I made this mistake- I am just wide awake, and thought I
was on-point. Guess I need to slow down a bit.
