       Dance of Frost [Tag: Periwinkle]
By: DisneyWinxHeart Date: December 14, 2012, 11:33 pm

It wasn't exactly as Jack had planned his day, but he wanted
some time on his own to think about what he would do once he
found the union. If he ever did, what would he do? Would he be
able to get Jamie back? That was the most important question.
Every day his mind was filled with the same scene, how he failed
to save him. Jamie's face, the scream of his own name. He was
going to rescue him. He was sure of that. But now, he was
doubting himself. He had already done nothing but loose control
over his powers. He was just lucky that he hadn't hurt anyone.
Finding himself in the garden of the Air Kingdom, it was kind of
relaxing, so far no one was around. At least not yet. but Jack
       didn't want any trouble.

It wasn't every day that Periwinkle got to spend time in the Air
Kingdom's gardens; yes, she did get to see much of the Air
Kingdom and some of the Water Kingdom on her travels with her
father, but most of the time she never really got to enjoy it.
The fairy had been sitting in the shade of the garden and
enjoying the view as those thoughts came up in her head, but she
quickly shook them away, Her father was doing what every loving
parent did: protect his child. She had no reason to complain, as
she knew of many kids who had parents who didn't care at all,
much less want to protect them.
Periwinkle looked around, then wiped her forehead with a tired
sigh. It was getting a bit too warm for her. She turned back to
the icicles hanging from the lowest branches of the tree, seeing
that they were melting in the sun that decided to peek from the
clouds. She flew over, placing her hand to them and refreezing
them one by one. They were all lined up around her, and created
a sort of makeshift igloo. When the breeze picked up, the air
that made it through the spaces of the icicles cooled down and
       kept her cool as well.
(( Btw, I really have no idea if that's how it works, I'm just
making it up as I go along... xD ))
The sound of footsteps caused her to stop what she was doing,
and she peeked out from behind the ice, curiously watching a
teenage boy enter the garden. He had white hair like hers, blue
eyes like hers, and very pale skin; all features which usually
pointed to one being a Winter Fairy. However, he had no wings.
That was strange. Was he a gifted human? She couldn't tell.
However, she felt a bit shy, and didn't say a word.

Jack stared for a long time at the garden. He wasn't very good
at expressing love for nature. It was, according to him, more of
a girl thing. However, he did feel a bit more at ease at the
garden. It was just peaceful. Which was something that he had
not felt for a long long time. Feeling the cool breeze, he gave
a relieved sigh. He didn't get cold, not like Jamie did. But
still, it was something he loved to feel.
Feeling an unknown pressence, he turned and blinked at the ice
around him. Had he done something again? Shoot. He was going to
be so busted! Tapping back and forth on the balls of his feet,
Jack looked around, shoot, shoot shoot. He couldn't unfreeze
things. And he was probably making it worse. Gulping, he turned
his blue eyes towards the entrance, hoping that no one had seen
       him.
What caught his eye, was not a human at all? But someone much
much better. A white haired girl, just like his, and blue eyes
like his. Stopping, his mini panic attack, he decided to play it
cool and gave a small wave.

Periwinkle gasped silently when the boy noticed her. He seemed
to panic, causing her to become more confused than she already
was. Why was he acting so upset? She gasped again upon seeing
the ground frost and ice over where the boy's bare feet touched
it. So he did have winter powers like her?
Oh no, he was waving to her? She gulped a bit then flew out from
behind the icicle, staring at him with a blank, surprised
expression. "H-Hi," she said, lingering by the ice to keep from
       overheating. "You control ice?"

Jack gave a small smile as she finally said something. She was
probably shy. At her question. He nodded. "I sort of do, i'm
getting better at it. I have semi-control over it, my emotions
are sort of the cause of all of it. I need to stay in control."
he shook his head. Like that was ever going to happen. "So, who
       are you?"

Periwinkle visibly relaxed when the boy smiled, and after a
moment she returned his smile with one of her own. "I-I'm
Periwinkle. I control ice, too," she said, glancing at the
icicles with a quiet giggle. She looked down at the distance
between herself and the boy, then pursed her lips and stayed by
the ice with a small sigh. "But if I don't stay cold, my wings
will dry out and break," she added, shaking her head.

Jack frowned. That didn't sound good at all. Not one bit.
"Sounds like you have it rough. I mean i don't have to stay cold
or anything but its kind of hard having to keep emotions in
check." he replied. "Nice to meet you Periwinkle. I'm Jack, Jack
       Frost."

Periwinkle shook her head again. "No, it's not that bad. My dad
and I live on the icy side of the kingdom, so I don't have to
worry much about it at home..." she trailed off, rubbing her
arm. She smiled again when the boy-- Jack-- introduced himself.
"Nice to meet you, Jack," she said, then sighed and leaned
against the ice, practically hugging it to keep cool. "I'd make
it snow so I could go over to you, but my dad hasn't taught me
how to do that yet." She shrugged her shoulders and ran her hand
up the ice, refreezing it to keep it from melting for awhile
       longer.

Snow huh? Well that's what she wanted was it? Jack smiled a tiny
smile, before twirling his staff for a minute and placing it
down on the ground, instantly as if by miracle, it started to
snow white. It seemed like it was the first time it had worked
without him messing things up. It was almost a miracle. "You
mean like this?" he asked giving a playful smile to her

Periwnkle blinked and looked up as snow suddenly began to fall.
She looked to Jack, her cheeks going a little pink as she
giggled and nodded. "Yeah, thanks," she said, flying through the
snow and over to him. She sighed in relief, glad to not be
confined to the same area for the sake of her wings. She paused
for a moment and bit her lip, then looked to him again with a
shy but hopeful smile. "Think you cold show me how to do that?"
