Maleficent's New Assassin (Tag: Pitch)

Maleficent was in one of her furies again, although you couldn't
tell by any outward sign. She sat on the throne of the Air
Kingdom, going over the message she had received from her only
surviving assassin. After he had returned to the Air Kingdom,
failing in his mission, she had quickly dispatched him, but the
news he had brought was troubling. Not only were San and Jim
still alive but hey had joined up with a stranger that had great
magical talent.
"Well, I must admit that I am somewhat impressed with my dear
niece and nephew. It would have been a disgrace to the royal
name if common low-grade assassin could dispatch them that
easily," she mused to herself.

"I see you have done some redecorating." the shadows moved
across the wall as Pitch formed from said darkness. The shadows
dancing around them. "And, i can sense some anger in you? Let me
guess, those troublesome childern again?" the nightmare asked,
not bothering to raise an eyebrow or smile.

Maleficent didn't even bother acknowledging the nightmares
entrance.
"I thought once my sweet big brother had finally breathed his
last breath I would gain the power and right of my throne. But
then he went and sired those two nuisances. Ah well, never mind
dwelling on the past." Maleficent looked down her nose at Pitch
with a smirk ringing her mouth.
"May I ask what has drawn your prescense to my humble abode. I
thought you were preoccupied with other things? Gotten tired of
scaring little children already?"

The nightmare shrugged his shoulders. He really didn't need a
reason to be here. Anger was anger and fear was fear, and the
Air Kingdom reeked of both. "I suppose you could say that the
fear and darkness called me here. If there''s one thing that
gives me power its both fear and darkness. Now, dark queen of
air, what is your problem? Prehaps i could be of assistance."

Maleficent remained quiet for a long time. She didn't like the
idea of taking help from anyone. It made her feel weak and she
hated feeling weak almost as much as she hated San and Jim.
Still, she knew that Pitch might be able to finish off this last
annoyance for her. She had bigger things to focus on, like
surpressing the rebellions that were taking place all over the
kingdom. If she was going to cement her power, she wanted to
kill two birds with one stone, or in this case, two dragons.
"The assassins I sent to kill my dear niece and nephew, San and
Jim, have just returned in several pieces. And no one thus far
has taken advantage of the bounty I offer on their heads. As of
now, I need to find a new hunter, someone more skilled and
powerful to find and finish the job." Maleficent looked directly
at Pitch as she finished her sentence. "Any suggestions?"

Pitch put a finger to his chin, as if trying to think. "Well,
there are several options, I could always send nightmares to
them, and report on process but you clearly want someone heads
on. There is someone who could work..."

Maleficent had risen from her throne and now approached Pitch.

Pitch smirked. "You could say that, she's a demon...one with
chaos if you say. Have you heard of Eris?" he asked. "Well,
let's just say Kimiko is always one step above her...if not one
with her."
