Most thought the Twilight as an awfully dreary place, but to
Mulan, it really felt like home to her. Being friends with
Amalthea really did have its benefits. The people here seemed
to know who she was, and that she was in the Dark Queen's
service, and should be treated with respect. She had changed
into slightly more presentable clothes, although they were still
good to travel in. She had on a green blouse with blue and red
in the middle, and a long tan skirt. The gardens were the
closest thing to the entrance of the castle, so Mulan headed
there while people who were no doubt servants went to inform
Amalthea of her arrival. The garden was withered, of course,
but Mulan felt that it was fitting. However dreary the place
looked, it felt like home to her. And that was a feeling she
thought she would never experience again.

Mulan did not have to wait too long it seems as she was guided
into the inner areas of the castle by the servants. Some of the
people were alive but others other were shades or ghosts....
some weren't even human at all. goblins and other creatures
scurried about the castle other things Amalthea had collected no
doubt.....
Finally the throne room where a hard chair of beautifully carved
black marble sat empty, the servants leaving the room before the
doors to the side opened up revealing the queen herself talking
with a couple of the shades seeming to be doing some duties,
holding what only could be guessed as a goblin child in her arms
giving it a bone to gnaw on before she noticed Mulan and smiled.
Handling the infant to one of her servants as she opened her
arms to Mulan "Mulan! there you are my dear, im so sorry I
couldnt meet you at the gate..."

Amalthea certainly had...variety, when it came to who worked in
her castle. But Mulan had seen worse, so she didn't mind too
much. She just had to mind where she walked in case she stepped
on a creature that was only two feet tall. She looked around
with curiosity as she was lead through the castle. It was
definitely old, as most castles were, but this felt like the
most ancient one Mulan had ever seen. It was like there was a
piece of history on every wall, something from the dawn of time
in every room she glimpsed in. But her attention was grabbed as
soon as she saw Amalthea, who seemed pretty happy to see her
again. That made Mulan feel even more glad to be here. "It's
fine, really. You're probably...busy doing stuff and what-not."
While she was curious about what Amalthea was up to next, her
main focus was just on spending time with her. She smiled when
the Dark Queen opened up her arms and she actually moved forward
and embraced her. "It's good to be here," she said.

Amalthea embraced the girl for a moment before shaking her head
and letting her go to shoo away her pesky servants moving to
take Mulan's hand "Come I have much to show you... I will give
you a tour of the entire castle soon but I wish for you to see
your room first, I had it decorated especially for you" moving
to guide Mulan through the castle to her tower.

"A tour sounds amazing," Mulan replied. No doubt the whole
castle was full of historical objects and stories and monuments.
It was practically an architectural marvel. And Mulan felt
like it suited her. It was a dark place, nobody could deny
that. But it was almost a comforting darkness, one where a
person could be shielded from the world around them. Mulan felt
her heart beat with excitement, and Amalthea taking her hand
only seemed to magnify that. "A room for me? Wow. Good thing
you did the decorating. My place in the Shadow Kingdom was
pathetic." It was a joke to liven things up, but Mulan
remembered all too well that little shack that she had lived in
at the Shadow Kingdom. The place was in the middle of nowhere,
which made it safer for her, but also lonelier. Here, she knew
she would never have to be alone again. And the pleased her a
lot.

Alma only smiled but did not laugh she never laughed didnt
really even smile for it never seemed to reach her eyes. But she
continued to lead Mulan on opening the door to her tower where
there was no one... it seemed the tower was only for Amalthea
herself and the odd shade servant but no one else. It looked
like no one but her and Mulan would be here. Taking Mulan up the
steps till they reached a lovely oak door that was carved with
images of Jaguars and warriors. Turning back to Mulan ".... I
figured the door would be a nice touch.... " opening the doors
to reveal a LARGE bedrom complete with its own bathtub,
wardrobe, small training area, weapon and armor rack, armour, 4
post bed and a chest at the end of the bed "If you wish I can
have the servants bring in a book case, I already have some
clothes for you in the wardrobe. Sinbad shall arrange your
armor"

The door was certainly an interesting touch, although the sight
of the jaguars did make Mulan feel a little nervous. But maybe
this was Amalthea's way of starting to help her be comfortable
with what she was. If she was to get control of her werejaguar
side, she couldn't be fazed by images of the creature she could
become. And having it here in her room, constantly in her
sight, was a good way for her to get used to it. Although once
Mulan stepped inside, she was astounded at the sheer size of the
room. Her bedroom at her parent's house was certainly not this
big. Warriors lived well enough, but not as well off as
governors or lords. But Mulan figured she got special treatment
since she was directly in Amalthea's service. "Wow. This is
all so...amazing. Nobody's really...done something like this
for me before." It felt a little odd, having someone look after
her and take care of her, but Mulan felt like that was what she
needed the most. She had spent so long looking after herself,
it felt nice to have somebody else look after her too.

Amalthea stood at the doorway letting Mulan have free movement
in her room "I guess you like it then? good... the castle is
yours to roam as you wish not even my tower is denied to you...
a rare privilege... though I recommend not entering my bed
chamber unannounced as I tend to put on my night gowns early,
and I fear I would have to punish you severely" why... why did
that sound like some sort of innuendo but not? but the Queen
just seemed to turn away walking from the room "If you wish I
will allow you some peace"

Mulan nodded. "It's great. I love it. Thank you." She still
couldn't believe that Amalthea had done this all for her. It
felt good, to know that somebody put thought into something they
gave you. It showed that they were thinking of you. "Oh,
um...don't worry. That won't happen." Mulan couldn't tell if
Amalthea was joking or not. With the Dark Queen, it was usually
hard to tell. But Mulan didn't mind that. "Oh, no, you
don't...have to go," she said. "I mean, I...wouldn't mind some
company." She turned a red, embarrassed that she was tripping
over her words again. As much as she cared for Amalthea, she
still felt nervous around her sometimes. She just didn't want
to mess up in front of her after she had given her so much and
treated her with such kindness.

The Queen stood there just watching Mulan fumble over her words
with some amusement ".... let us hope your swordplay is much
better then your wordplay or Sinbad will have his work cut out
for him" she teased again before gently beckoning the woman to
her "Set down your things and come... I will show you my
quarters next"
