Repairing My Sword (Tag Zuko)

Mulan may have exiled herself to the Shadow Kingdom, but that
didn't mean she didn't visit other kingdoms now and then to get
the things she needed. And right now, her sword needed
reforging. She had found a mineral ore in her travels and
wanted to forge it into the blade, making it stronger and more
durable. She knew that the Fire Kingdom had the best forges
around, so that was where she was headed. It was easy enough
for her to make her way in. She always knew how to get around
without being seen. And having a horse to quickly get from
Point A to Point B wasn't too bad of a thing either. But now,
her horse was at the edge of the forges and she was making her
way inside. There were a few other people at work, but they
didn't take notice of her, which she considered a good thing.
She sighed as she made her way to a forge, her sword in one hand
and the mineral ore in the other.

Zuko hated being back in the fire kingdom, but he did need to
work on his weaponry for a while and make sure his duel swords
were in shape again. He carefully hid his face and walked into
the forges, being careful not to get caught. He was a fugitive
of this kingdom and had to be careful. He walked in and started
to work on mending his swords.

Mulan mostly kept to herself. Until she spotted something that
caught her eye. The young man near her had dual swords in his
hand. She blinked. She had read all about them, but had never
seen them in person before. And they looked like they were in
pretty good shape too. "Nice dual swords," she said, nodding
towards his weapons.

Zuko heard the voice and decided to answer her back to avoid any
suspicion of anyone who would pass. "Thanks." he said in a plain
voice.

It looked like the man wasn't much of a conversationalist, much
like Mulan was herself. But she didn't want to awkwardly break
up the conversation. That would just make him think she was
weird. Despite her tendency to avoid people these days, Mulan
tried not to leave too bad an impression on people, if she could
help it. "Been fighting with them long?" she asked.

Zuko looked at the asain girl and spoke again. "Yes, for a few
years." he answered truthfully and still plainly enough. He
started to work more and pay attention to his swords as well as
the girl talking.

Mulan just nodded, although she could see that he was still a
bit tight-lipped. Stop talking to him, Mulan. He's obviously
not interested and just humoring you. She sighed. Maybe I
should stick to just not socializing like I normally do, she
thought as she pulled out her sword. I'm obviously an idiot
when it comes to it.

Zuko looked at her. "Been in the fire kingdom long?" he asked as
he noticed some fire kingdom guards walking by outside.

Mulan shook her head. "Just passing through," she replied. "I
needed repairs on my sword and everyone knows that the Fire
Kingdom has some of the best forges, so..." She gave a little
shrug. "I figured this was the best place to go."

Zuko gave a slight nod to that remark. "That would be correct."
he answered her. Looking outside seeing that the guards were
still out there. He took a deep breath.
