Racing Season 1

Hello folks! Mark this day on your calendar! Racing season is
about to begin! Monday January 7th we will be having the first
of many races! So, what is this all about? Let me tell you.
Throughout the months of January through March races will be
hosted for members of Witness Kings & Station ACE. Each race
will be different. Some will be typical races on pre-arranged
tracks, others will be a little less... typical. I will be
updating this post regularly with upcoming details.
RULES
1. There is a $15,000 buy-in for each racing event. This will
be used to offset the cost of the prizes.
2. Unless otherwise specified, any vehicle is allowed in the
race.
3. Unless otherwise specified, nitrous and other cooldown-based
vehicle mods are not allowed. This is to prevent an unfair
advantage to premiums.
4. All races will be points-based:

[*] 1st place: 5 pts.
[*] 2nd place: 3 pts.
[*] 3rd place: 2 pts.
[*] All unplaced participants: 1 pt.[/list]
5. At the end of the event, points will be tallied to determine
the winner. If necessary, ties will be determined by further
races.
6. Race-specific rules may be added for each event.
PRIZES
Cash rewards added to prizes! A special thanks to LawDawg for
contributing cash prizes for the event! Rewards may grow if
participation increases!
First place: $60 Amazon gift card, AND 3-slot custom Jericho or
Bishada
Second place: $40 Amazon gift card AND 2-slot custom Vegas
Third place: $20 Amazon gift card, AND a 1-slot Packer Ceresco
van + 1 mod!
Active participants (6 points or more): Entry into a raffle for
$20 Amazon gift card
* 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners won't be entered in raffle.
HOW IT WORKS

[*] Every week I'll be posting event details and times in this
thread.
[*] Then, I'll create a separate thread which will be used to
create a roster for that event.
[*] Race tickets will be posted on the Marketplace.
[*] Any late entries are accepted, but must purchase a ticket
before the race begins.[/list]
Races will tend to be short. I am hoping folks will stick
around to play and have fun - but the races themselves shouldn't
take too long. So far, here are some of the race concepts that
will be coming out:

[*] Obstacle Course - tight tracks and crazy turns!
[*] Scavenger Hunt - be the first to collect specified NPC
vehicles!
[*] King of the Hill - race to a spray point, and be the first
to mark it!
[*] Destruction Derbies - group up and eliminate your opponents!
[*] Hide-and-Go-Seek - be the first to find a spray or vehicle
planted in the district![/list]

Date: Monday, January 7th
Time: 9:00 p.m. EST SHARP
What: 3 races, with a bonus elimination round
District: Financial
Details: This race will take place in Financial. It will cover
the highway around the city and back again. There will be three
races of the track. Each race winner will compete In a final
round. This means EVERYONE has a chance to place until the end
of the third round. As a bonus treat, in that fourth and final
round, all remaining participants will form a grief compliment
to make the competitors EARN that win.
Tickets will be posted on the Marketplace the week of the event.
Anyone who purchases one is eligible to compete!

Date: Tuesday, January 15th
Time: 10:00 p.m. EST SHARP
What: Demolition Derby
District: Financial
Details: Groups will face off in elimination rounds. The final
round will determine the first, second, and third place winners.
This may change depending on how the numbers work for the derby.
Starter cars only. No vehicle mods. This means the last one
alive and on top of that highway will win! Participants must be
ready to switch to Enforcer as needed to facilitate rounds.
(Each round must consist of all players being on the same team)
Tickets will be posted on the Marketplace the day prior to the
event. Any clan member who purchases one is eligible to compete!

Time: 10:00 p.m. EST
What: Road Race
District: Financial
Details: Any car, any mods. This time around we will be running
3 primary heats, followed by 3 final heats.
For the final heats: The three winners for each place will race
against eachother for the final placement.
Example: Three 3rd place winners will race for 3rd place. Three
2nd place winners will race for 2nd place. Three 1st place
winners will race for 1st place.
Tickets will be posted on the Marketplace the day prior to the
event. Any clan member who purchases one is eligible to compete!

Date: Thursday, February 21st
Time: 10:00 p.m. EST SHARP
What: Scavenger Hunt
District: Financial
Details: This "race" will involve the below list of vehicles.
Each participant must go out, find a vehicle (they must be found
in the world, not spawned), and bring it to the parking garage,
across the street from Wilson LeBoyce, to drop off AND DESTROY
IT. Every vehicle must be dropped off in order, and destroyed
before moving on to the next vehicle.
Tickets will be posted on the Marketplace the prior to the day
of the event. Anyone who purchases one is eligible to compete!

What: Road Race
District: Waterfront
Details: Any car, any mods. This time around we will be running
3 primary heats, followed by 3 final heats.
For the final heats: The three winners for each place will race
against eachother for the final placement. Also any
non-qualifiers are welcome to hang around & grief the contenders
in the final 3 rounds!!!
Example: Three 3rd place winners will race for 3rd place. Three
2nd place winners will race for 2nd place. Three 1st place
winners will race for 1st place.
Tickets will be posted on the Marketplace the day prior to the
event. Any clan member who purchases one is eligible to compete!
