s[o]me days are like this.

Being an apprentice with no mentor was boring.
Really, really, boring. The she-cat had flopped down a little
way off the Elder's den, listening to the old cats share stories
and gossip, comment on the newborn kittens, and complain about
autumn's cold weather. Sweetpaw personally liked autumn. The
temperature didn't bother her because of her long, dense, coat,
and watching the scarce trees turn golden and scarlet was so
enchanting. So there the siamease lay, watching a lonely leaf
drift in the breeze and eventually find it's way to the ground;
where small rodents were burrowing for leaf-bare. Oh Starclan.
Leaf-bare was nearing, and the apprentice was not at all happy
about this. For the first and only leafbare of her life, the
six-moon old's stomach had been hungrier than usual, even with
the 'feed the kits first' rule. And she had caught whitecough.
Now, as an apprentice, the feline was sure that she was going to
starve to death or develop greencough and die; Sweetpaw had
always been known for her pessimistic thoughts, and the fact
that the hare she had caught that very morning was starting to
become white did not help her one bit.
But right now, the apprentice was just... lonely.

ooc; On and off muse, don't mind me cx
ic; Bouncepaw scrambled to the other apprentice "hiya" she
mewed, the dark brown apprentices fur ruffled by the cool Autumn
wind. He looked at the ground, the cold wind seemed to have
chilled the she-cat's thoughts. Memories of the other night hit
her like a train. Bouncepaw whimpered slightly as the cut on her
shoulder stung from a sudden movement. She returned to her usual
quiet, shy state. Bouncepaw gulped "Ummm hi" she mewed quietly
and shuffled her paws. Bouncepaw'seyes trailed to the ground,
slightly frowning. The wind seemed to whisper to her 'You're not
good enough.' 'You'll never prove yourself'. Bouncepaw looked
up. She'd prove herself! She'd prove them all wrong! Bouncepaw
knew for a fact that the voice in the wind was her Dark Forest
mentor, Braveheart. Bouncepaw sneezed and then waited for the
other apprentice to greet her back.

Being the stuck-up, sociopathic cat she was, all
Sweetpaw did was roll her eyes and sigh. She knew that it was
rude, but one of her talents was not caring what others thought
about her. "Bless you," was the female's half-hearted reply, her
blue eyes shimmering with boredom. Urg, should she make friends
with this cat? Eh, why not? Company could be useful. "How are
you, Bouncepaw? Wanna take a stroll with me?" the feline asked,
flicking at ear as a leaf brushed past it.

Autumnpaw bounded over to the elders den. She still didn't have
a mentor, which dissapointed her so she went to hear the elders
wise words and stories.

Bouncepaw narrowed her eyes '2 can play at
the snotty game' she thought. Brouncepaw let out an annoyed
sniff "Oh sure, whatever" she said halfheartedly. She looked
away and yawned, she hadn't gotten any sleep. Braveheart had
overworked her. again

a black a white tom cat stretched,
padding from the apprentice den. he was quite good looking as
the breeze ruffled his pelt and he padded over to get some prey.
picking out a small mouse- his appitite wasn't high these days-
he sat down in the middle of the camp where the sun was best.
being without a mentor was boring, so notepaw spend most of his
time helping elders, playing with kits, and talking with the
occasional warrior. as he finished, the handsome tom started to
gnaw on the mouse bone- sharpening his teeth on it and making
little art scriptures.

Minutemind, his long limbs aching from his morning run, padded
into camp with his usual, casual look slapped on his face.
"Morning, Sweetpaw." the normally grouchy tom meowed. He enjoyed
Sweetpaw's company; she wasn't like most apprentices. He had
begged the leader for an apprentice several moons ago, but was
declared to young. He had given up after that, but now was after
Sweetpaw. Minutemind knew she would make a great apprentice.

Instantly, the apprentice's face lit up wiht a
bright smile, and she drew all her attention away from the
copycat. Out of the corner of her eye, the she-cat caught a
glimpse of Notepaw and almost rolled her eyes. That tomcat was a
show-off, in her opinion. Sort of like her, but more annoying.
Goodness, one of these days Sweetpaw knew that she needed a
personality change, but right now all she wanted to do was lock
everyone else out. Other than Minutemind, who she favoured the
most out of everyone else. "Good morning, Minutemind!" the
apprentice purred in reply, flicking at ear with
uncharacteristic enthusiasum.
The truth was that, for such an modern sort of cat, Sweetpaw had
a childish secret. Minutemind was so nice, so awesome... like,
who wouldn't have at least a tiny crush on him?

[ Ooooh. xD ]
Minutemind purred, shooting her a warm look. "Still no mentor?"
he meowed, his voice dropping off near the end. He always
offered her support when she slouched around camp all day,
mentorless, but secretly hoped she would hold off on the whole
mentor-thing until he could speak to Lavastar. He really did
want Sweetpaw as an apprentice.
Unaware of Sweetpaw's previous conversation, Minutemind spoke
again. "Care to go for a walk? Maybe we can catch something." he
meowed, not minding that the tom had just gone on a run.

"Well if you don't want ME there..." The
apprentice said with an annoyed yawn and rolled her eyes "Then
fine" Bouncepaw sniffed and looked at Minutemind "You guys are
okay on your own" she mewed
