[center][font=georgia]Showpaw followed the Deputy through the
undergrowth, and he desperately tried to keep his tail from
lashing. The young apprentice was very restless but he managed
to hide it. He spotted a mouse and slowly crouched. The mouse
didn't move. He took tentative paw steps towards the mouse, and
even gradually, the mouse didn't move. When he was a tail length
away, he pounced, landing flat on the mouse and then he jittered
around like a crazy dance before catching it in his claws. He
sighed, trying to calm down, before swiftly making the killing
bite. It was a clumsy kill, but hey, this apprentice was the
definition of clumsy.

Lumberjack smiled at Showpaw. "Nice catch." he purred, his voice
low as not to disturb potential prey. Speaking of prey, the deep
chocolate warrior tilted his head as the scurrying of a rodent
floated into his ears. Crouching in a beautifully mastered
hunting position, the tom crept forward until a plum squirrel
was visible, clumsily thrashing at fallen leaves in an attempt
to find stored food. Without hesitation, Lumberjack pounced, the
squirrel not aware of his presence until his lay limp in his
jaws.

Astralblossom looked at both of them " nice kills" she purred.
Just then a vole caught her eye. She smiled devilishly and ever
so slowly made her way to the vole. With one swift bite she
killed the fresh kill.
