effielstar looked up to see a cat at her den entrance. "you may

Lumberjack, a sleek, chocolate brown ThunderClan tom, greeted
Eiffelstar with a warm smile. "Hello, Eiffelstar." he meowed
politely, positioning himself in front of the leader. "How are
you today?" Lumberjack purred, padding into the den and plopping
himself down on the dusty ground.

[ l o o k i n g ] a bit surprised, effielstar nodded
slowly- as if he was a maniac. "erm, yes lumberjack. i'm fine.
and how are you? how may i come to your assistance?" she asked
calmly, silver tail waving as she gazed at the tom. she rose her
left white paw, licking it slowly and blinking at the tom. she
looked behind him to see the sun arising over the peeks of the
earth. "and why are you up so early?" she gave a chuckle, but
there was suspicion in her voice that was hard to pick out.
blinking, the silver tabby awaited his answer.

Lumberjack, oblivious to Eiffelstar's suspicion, replied cooly.
"Just thought I'd drop in and say hello. And, er, you know, talk
about...leader-y stuff." the tom meowed slowly, not daring to
say he just wanted to see Eiffelstar's face. The truth was that
he was head-over-paws for this certain she-cat, and he couldn't
wait another waking moment to speak to her. She didn't know
that, of course. And he'd like to keep it that way. Rejection
was not something Lumberjack took kindly to.

"erm...well all the clans seem to be calmed. so it's all
normal." effielstar replied with a yawn, silver tail flicking
against the ground. her tail was curled neatly around her paws
and she looked at lumberjack, blinking.

Lumberjack awkwardly drew his tail around his paws. "That's
good. The gathering is coming up. Er, anything important that
you are going to announce?" The normally strong tom felt weak
around Eiffelstar, and it didn't help his chance of a normal
conversation. He shouldn't have even come in.
