the mayflower --wip

[sub]what is love without a little loss ?

[color=teal]what's the word, hummingbird ?
we are the mayflowers, or rather, the settlers as
we'd like to be called. a long time ago, our ancestors
cleared this land for living and have resided here
ever since. the place is a bit run down, but we would've
cleaned a bit if we knew you were coming ~
what's cooking, good looking ?
it's a bit late, we should be going- oh! you wish to know more?
well i'll try to keep it short and simple. many seasons ago,
twolegs raised the land for growing strange plants with
different tastes, and built tall wooden structures which
they seemed to live in. they have long since abandoned
these places, and this is where we take residence.
a stream that used to hold yellow shiny flecks flows
between the main buildings. in the summer fish 'visit,'
but very rarely.
don't get wise, google eyes,
that's not enough? i suppose you want to know
the nitty gritty, then, huh? first i'll tell you about
how our.. 'system,' is conducted. first in charge is
king, and after that, his mate, the queen.
their son, the prince, is next in line when the
king resigns or passes away. the prince will choose a
mate from the bachelorettes, and she will
become the queen. the soldiers fight
battles and are mostly tom-cats, females
are scorned upon as fighters. instead,
the she-cats that are not bachelorettes are
scavengers. they hunt and gather food
for the mayflower and only eat after the toms
have had their pick. of course, the king has his will
and may do what he wishes, whether it be execute
someone, or let them live another day.
pregnant females are sent to become brooders
and take care of their kits and the queen's if she happens
to have any at the moment. the kittens are made into
soldiers or scavengers at the age of four moons.
there are no old cats in the mayflower, instead they
serve until they die.
what's the story, morning glory ?
there are a few rules you must live by and conduct
yourself. please tread lightly around the king.
- king's rule is law
- your cat serves it's life in the assigned position,
there are no exceptions unless they are promoted.
- felines are allowed to take mates from outside
the mayflower.[/center]
