The Warehouse

The Warehouse
The Warehouse is an alternative place of accommodation at SNF.
It has slightly modified rules for the children who live within
its walls. Anyone wishing to live in the Warehouse must fill out
the following form and submit it to the Administration for
approval:
Name:
Place you want to live:
Why do you want to live at this place?
Have you read all rules/guides pertaining to this place?
Warehouse Structure
The Warehouse functions as a loose 'gang' structure, with Juni
Green at its head. Those who are drawn to it as a home are
generally children who have not fit in anywhere else: street
kids, runaways, kids who do not trust adults or want to be
around them, and those who do not want to live in as structured
an environment as the Youth Retreat but are still looking for a
home.
The basic structure is big looks out for little, although all
are considered equals. The SNF community adults understand and
respect the Warehouse residents' wish to keep things 'in house'
and although they will intervene if a Warehouse child breaks the
normal rules of the town, they will generally turn them over to
the Young Adults who reside within the Warehouse and who will
handle discipline as they see fit. This is a privilege that the
Young Adults intend to protect so they do not take rule breaking
(or rather, getting caught) lightly.
The Warehouse is a harder environment than most of SNF. Its
residents have had to steal and lie to survive and are often
tough and wary of outsiders. Altercations and rule breaking are
more likely to be handled physically than with words, and
everyone is expected to do their part to bring in food and money
if they want a place to sleep and food to eat. On the other
hand, though, Warehouse looks after its own and the residents
will protect and provide for each other to the best of their
abilities.
Anyone can apply to live at the Warehouse. Not all applications
will be accepted.
Warehouse Rules
Warehouse children are still considered accountable to the
"age-specific rules" as long as they are outside of the
Warehouse. The only difference is the later curfew. Within the
Warehouse itself, the following rules apply as modifications to
some the aforementioned rules:
1. All people wishing to live in the Warehouse must be approved
by Juniper Green once approved by the Staff
2. Only Warehouse residents may enter the Warehouse (post in the
Warehouse board) without prior permission from Juni Green.
3. Warehouse residents of any age may light SMALL fires ONLY
without permission.
4. Alcohol and drugs are permitted within the Warehouse for
those aged 13 and above.
5. Warehouse kids must be back on Warehouse grounds by midnight
6. The Warehouse Young Adults enforce the Age Specific and
Warehouse Rules with the Warehouse children as they see fit.
They are exempt from the usual Young Adult rules where it comes
to discipline.
7. If anyone who has been approved to live at the Warehouse
changes their mind, they will be transferred to the Youth
Retreat, no questions asked.
