Starlit Night Falls Employment Policy
This site requires that ALL Adults, whether they have families
of their own or not, hold some type of job within the community.
Examples are owning or working at one of the businesses or
public services, or overseeing an area such as the Woods. We
also strongly encourage all older teens (15+) to take on a job
in order to give them a chance to interact with members of the
community that they might not otherwise seek out. Even younger
children have the opportunity, should they want it, to take an
official position suitable for their age. There is a list of
open positions viewable to registered members of our site, with
options for all age groups to choose from.
Jobs permit (but do not obligate) you to enter/participate in
ANY thread that is posted in that area, for any reason, even if
it's a passing hello. In the case of adults, you will be
responsible for generally supervising your place of employment
and should any issues come up (disciplinary or otherwise) it
will be considered your responsibility to bring it to the
attention of the Adults Board (for Youth Retreat/Warehouse
children), the Adult/s in charge of the child/ren involved, or
the Staff. If a situation is brought up by any other member
about something happening in the area you oversee, your
opinion/advice will be sought.
This policy is in place to help encourage all residents of all
ages to interact with each other in a casual and natural
environment, much like real life communities. In many ageplay
communities, we have found that more often than not, there tends
to be a divide of those "with" families, and those "without",
seeing little to no interaction amongst the two. This policy
provides the opportunity to do away with that divide and create
an environment that depends on the contributions of ALL
residents to maintain a strong and healthy environment where all
members feel a part of our community.
