I jest.
Hey, watching Gordon Ramsey yell at people makes me happy, too.

While I'm not a huge anime fan I have found a couple of series
that stand out. Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex is a
smooth blend of sci-fi and detective genres, somewhat like an
updated Blade Runner. And Space Dandy is hilarious, very much in
the spirit of Futurama.

I enjoy Inuyasha and Dragon Ball Z. Watched Yu-Gi-Oh while
pregnant, and well, my son loves it 11 years later. Not a big
anime film fan, but Fist of the North Star is a must watch. The
live action film of the same name failed so hard.

Here's some other shows I watched that are no longer on, but
lasted for a complete series. They could be worth checking out.
Breaking Bad
Psych
Eureka
Leverage

My excuse for this slightly necropost-y response is that I was
out of town for this thread :P
-Sherlock
-Archer
-Parenthood
-Doctor Who (I freely admit it's one of the worst, but I grew up
on the classics and couldn't help myself)
-Vikings
-Firefly
-M*A*S*H
-So You Think You Can Dance (Family of dancers. Don't judge too
harshly.)
-Star Trek Original Series
-Battlestar Galactica
-F1 channel
-Never Mind The Buzzcocks (my go-to stress relief)
I guess those are the latest shows. The insomniac needs
something to do in the hours she isn't sleeping, so Netflix and
I are pretty tight. When it comes to movies don't ever ask me to
choose between the franchises of Star Wars, Star Trek, and James
Bond. Not gonna happen.

I've become quite a fan of Dancing With The Stars. Purely out of
appreciation for the artistic and athletic merits of the
dancers. Yup. Nothing at all to do with the pro dancers' long,
lithe legs, pert buttocks, heaving chests, well toned muscles
flexing under glistening skin, straining to break free of flimsy
costumes...
;D

^Ahh, and there it is. Staying true to the form of the
bacon-hubby I've come to know and love. :D
I think you'd be entertained by how little it takes to get the
women in a dance family going while watching these shows.
"Oooh, he wore the white striped pants today! Gonna show off his
extension lines!"
"Looks like he lengthened the heel a bit. Really improves the
range of his samba rolls..."
"That low neckline totally ruins his form on the off-side, but
I'm not complaining. He could stand to lose another button."

Practically nothing. I need a new show, I've got plenty backed
up ready to choose from but I never get round to it. I keep
saying I'll give The Wire another chance but I never do>
Subconciously want something more 'current' like "House of
Cards" because of Kevin Spacey mainly.
Breaking Bad is my favourite show ever.
I will choose a Futurama rerun over virtually everything ever.
Archer is the most underrated show going, can't wait for the
next season.
True Detective has been my TV highlight of this year especially
that scene in the fourth episode. Matthew M. and Woody H. were
outstanding here, kind of glad they won't be in the next season
so there's no chance to ruin what's already been done, but I
will miss them two.
What I won't be watching is The Walking (Yawning) Dead. Season 1
was magnificent. The second I watched more or less back-to-back
so I didn't dislike it as much as some people I know did. I got
to the halfway point of season 3 and hated it, finished season 3
out of spite and never touched the fourth,
Homeland - similar to the above. First season was sensational to
me, the second was really good apart from the ending which to me
felt SO rushed. I still maintain it should have been a one
season show. I lost interest around halfway through season 3
when it became a show about a thirteen year old girl biting her
bottom lip every 15 minutes.

Been giving Welcome to Sweden a try. So far it's good, not great
but watchable. Likewise with Vicious, though I could do without
the laughtrack. Weird seeing the guy that plays Ramsey
Snow/Bolton in a sitcom.
:o
